You've already played the 'something in the eye ' thing on another thread. Running out of ways to have a go at Hamilton?
He couldn't pass Rosberg because it was Monaco, he got caught by Dan because he had something in his eye. Did you actually watch this race?

... Still disappointed in Kimi. He was up early and running a good race in 3rd until the safety car then got roasted the rest of the way...

He had to come because of a puncture and when all was said and done, he came out "dead last"!!
From there he finished 12, which ain't so bad, even if it doesn't earn him any points!!

...with a total of 14 cars classified...

Actually, if you say out of the 22 that started, it sounds so much better!!

Great race, very happy for Marussia today, hope they can give the Saubers something to think about in the future.

At the front I think Alonso had the worlds must dull race (It's Monaco), the DR (Dan Ricciardo) was very opportunistic but as it's Monaco he couldn't pass the the Ham.

Now Hamilton, what can I say here without being chastised? In terms of driving I think he did nothing wrong, he couldn't have driven any more than he did; and doing a lap or so with only 2D vision and no depth perception must be quite tricky, but his attitude today towards his team wasn't great, and he didn't even shake Rosberg's hand at the end of the race which is just basic common respect.

On the grid with Brundle Lauda mentioned that at in Spain Hamilton used an engine setting the team specifically told them both not to use so that he could beat Rosberg, he apologised to Nico and he accepted this; Nico apologised to Ham for causing the yellows in quali and Lewis didn't accept. He claims he has the hunger, but you can't just shove all the food in your face at once and expect to look civilized. (I'll be honest I'm not sure what that analogy meant, but I kept it in, because then I sound wise or something.)

But... but... but... Lauda must be wrong, maybe he's even lying, because Hamilton would never resort to "tricks" or "stunts" to win.
He wants his performance on track to do his talking... oh, wait... he was on the track when he used that engine setting.

Again... I believe any and all drivers who are in the running for the WDC will use whatever they have at their disposal to ensure they win.
Let's face it, these guys have racing in their blood, they live and breathe F1!! If they didn't have this passion for winning, they wouldn't!!

Lemon, I won't chastise you but I have to sorta put myself in Lewis' shoe. He felt quite taken advantage of for qualifying by, I might add, a "friend." It bothers him because he would never have done something like that to Nico or anyone else. He took that emotion into the race knowing that he needed to work with his engineer on in-race opportunities. The first pace car scuppered any hope he had and while he was saving fuel and tires but still pushing Nico, he had the debri in the eye. I know if I were in Lewis' white Pumas, at the end of the race I would still be overwrought with a mix of emotions…still some anger, disappointment and frustration. I've been in that situation (those mixed emotions) before and trust me, you don't want me anywhere near you while I'm still in that place. Give me time and space to settle down. I'll be a whole lot more social once I'm over it. Not making excuses for Lewis…just saying, I get it.

The other side of the coin is, I don't so mind competitors not shaking hands…I don't put much stock in that. I didn't mind when Senna and Prost didn't shake hands either. It's nice but it doesn't do much for me. It's great when you're teaching little 10 year olds about sportsmanship but these drivers are gladiators going at each other. Let em do their thing. (But that's just me though… )
