I think this may rile Hamilton somewhat. I have a feeling that either he will be leaving the first corner in the lead or neither of them will be...
#402354
I think so too. He conceded the corner last year to avoid a collision. Despite getting there first. I don't think he'll be so polite tomorrow.

I think the best thing he can do is just accept it and move on. If he goes on to beat Rosberg tomorrow, it will probably tip things even further in his favour. My biggest fear is that he sinks into the kind of mindset he had in 2011, which is something he really doesn't need, especially when you consider the strength he's shown ever since he moved to Mercedes.

Well he won't! Circumstances are completely different, he just has to stop being so nice to team mates. And I think he will.

The day Lewis drops the Mr. Nice Guy thing is the day he adds that final bit that puts him in rarified air with the best. I suspect we're about to get the first look at his transformation. Blood will be on the Mercedes AMG garage floor before long.

Such fun!

Nice video spanky. This was back when both drivers were at proper teams though

I think so too. Nico was a friend, but he is so pissed with him he won't care about the friend thing tomorrow.

RC, the cynic in me says, having simmered for a few hours now, I'm kinda glad this whole episode happened, especially here in Monaco and this early in the season. Now it's eyes wide open for everyone, especially Lewis. I'm quite keen to see how the Mercedes AMG management handle the ruckus to come. Lauda and Wolff will be very busy, the pair of them. This is another area where Brawn's influence could have been mega.

Has anyone started a poll yet about precisely when and where Mercedes AMG Hybrid shards and parts will be strewn all over a stretch of race track?
#402371
:rofl: first corner? Twill be well interesting indeed to see how this is handled. I know what you mean about glad it happened. I'm so mad still, but now Lewis can let rip and forget about being considerate.

So you still think it was deliberate?

First thought when it happenned, no. Reversing back out, WTF! Watching replays and listening to other people from the track, Nico's body language after the event, doesn't look good. And celebrating like he'd won it on merit, instead of going straight over to Lewis to apologise, that was a poor show. I'm not sure what I think, but he's gone down in my estimation and I want Lewis to beat him every time now ( well I wanted that anyway, but without mercy now, annihilation)

Give him the benefit of the dought, he overcooked it. so why did he start backing up onto the track? just to make sure the yellows came out?

If he wanted to cause a yellow he would of either parked it faster without rolling down a bit or would of attempted the corner which would of brought the red flag out.

It was a genuine mistake the only thing he did wrong was celebrate he should of kept quiet and said sorry to Hamilton and then left it at that.

RyRy if it was all deliberate then he did quite well, protected his pole, picked a good spot, didn't damage his car and didn't get a penalty by being obvious, like Schumacher did at Rascass.

If the initial weird wheel turning was accidental ( I'll accept that possibly it was) Why did he reverse back out that little lane. If he'd stayed in the yellows could have gone before Lewis or others got there, as it was, all their laps were ruined.
