Lewis hasn't shown up for the Merc debrief, Lewis is super pissed off, there is no doubt.

Weighing in just this once since this is most definitely the turning point of the Mercedes partnership and the chemistry in the team. Nico is under official investigation atm.

1) Lewis is 100% sure that was insincere. This is clear by both his interviews after getting out of the car

2) Nico was celebrating a bit too much (especially with his hand motions) looking like he was overcompensating for what just happened...also not going over to Lewis immediately to explain or make peace (not even looking at him) is a big big sign of guilt....to me

3) Nico's gone down in my estimation too. Especially with his first interview where everything he said apologetically seemed half hearted


I wonder what happens tomorrow if Lewis gets a slightly better start. Won't be shocked if both Mercs DNF at the first corner. Sigh

On your third point, Nico didn't even offer an apology until he realized Lewis saw it clearly as intentional and the host/interviewer read Lewis' body language and response the same way. It's the second round of questions to Nico about the effects of the error on his team-mate, that's when Nico went blood-red then pale white in the face and started to back-track by offering a half hearted apology. How cowardly!

No, I can't think why anyone would want to return the car to the pits if it was capable...

On an unrelated note, Maldonado actually made it out of Q1 for the first time all season, and was only about two tenths away from Grosjean. The question is, can he manage to keep it up or is this his one-off Monaco special?

That is the worse thing...
A lot of us were wound-up to bursting point...in that last part of Quali...only to have it snatched away...
What a let down...Lewis was on a burning Hot-lap..

At the end of the Sky prog...it was noted by the pundits, that Lewis hadn't gone to the Merc de-briefing...but Nico was seen going in...smiling.

Damon was talking to Bernie....but said he couldn't disclose what was said......

YEAH ROSBERG!!! I doubt it was intentional. I don't think he's petty like that. Easy to see how it could be construed as such.

I wanted to see the rest of the post-qualifying press conference!! NBCSN cut off right as they started asking lewis about being friends and such since their karting days, etc. and then the coverage went away

Perhaps waiting until no cars are circulating at qualifying speed would be a sensible option to make. Oh and yes, he knew what he was doing because he said this.......

As we've seen over the past few years, and this season especially, sitting with the engine running and no cooling is not good for the cars at all. Of course he's not going to want to idle for a minute or more. He also stopped once he saw a car approaching, which is exactly what he's required to do. He certainly did not reverse onto the track as a car was approaching, which would be the only other thing that he could do wrong.

I saw the same thing on Twitter, but other sources seem to say that there is an investigation going on. The FIA doesn't list the dealings until any decisions are made, though, so it's hard to tell which one is correct.
