Ferrari investigating 'hole nose' leak
The appearance of Ferrari's radical new nose innovation at the Barcelona test on Monday confirmed that espionage could still be a factor at the Italian team.
Alleged Ferrari spy Nigel Stepney no longer works for the Maranello based team, but the technical secret about the 'hole nose' nonetheless emerged in the pages of an Italian magazine some ten weeks ago.
Autosprint broke the story about the nose, including sketches of the innovation, in its pages in February, raising suspicions that the leaking of confidential and sensitive design data has not stopped, notwithstanding Stepney's firing and McLaren's $100m fine.
According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, Technical Director Aldo Costa was 'horrified' about the leak, confiding that 'very few' Ferrari workers even knew about the nose solutions when they were being tested in the wind tunnel.
Blick claims that an internal investigation into the leak is in progress.

Im sure they did. Its just that the recipients of McLaren or Renault data did not get fined $100mil for the pleasure of such data

a bit, but to have employees leking data is giving away a team advantage (providing you dont get caught!)

you could be really cynical and say ferrari are supplying the dat so they ccan ruin other teams, obviously not the case

Not sure what your point is :? McLaren and Renault didnt go crying to Max and the FIAt last year trying to get a competitor banned. If Ferrari dont like losing secrets than fix the leaks.

Well my point is that you get all defensive that McLaren can nor has done any wrong. Yes it was an employee of Ferrari, not the team as a whole, who leaked the info yet it was also an employee of McLaren, not the whole team, that filtered that info out to certain member's of the team, right?

So your statement
So I wonder who they'll screw this time for their inability to keep sensitive data secret?
implie's to me you blame the whole team?

I absolutely agree with you Tex it was employees on both sides who transgressed not the whole teams . BIG difference being Ferrari played the situation to screw McLaren. McLaren took an unprecedented ridiculous fine and Ferrari got off scot free. So i say again since a similar situation is occuring, "I wonder who they will screw this time?" Given the evidence of last year I fail to see how that sataement is either pathetic or amazing. Perhaps you have selective amnesia as to what happenned?

Stand tall racechick, those FIAt supporters get quite defensive, really quickly. They do take a Max like stance when confronted dont you think? We did nothing wrong, we never have. We simply blame others and if you have a different point of view we will shout you down. A hole in the nose? Hole in the head more likely.
Bring it on, this was my work, my passion you FIAt apologists are destroying.
