Lewis Hamilton has completed 169 racing laps out of a possible 224 this year.

Of those, he has spent 164 in the lead (97%)

Alonso is perfectly welcomed to go to McLaren. Not all moves a driver makes, going to a different team pan out as they hoped.

It's an English sort of support. With MS and Vettel there was, at the start of every w/e, a dull inevitability to proceedings. You never doubted they wouldn't get the job done.

Hamilton, with a similar advantage, you feel will find a way to stuff it up because across the sporting board that's generally what we do. We lack sustained mental toughness.

So as much as people bitch on about a Merc romp there's an internal drama when I watch Hamilton, that as good as he appears to be doing it could all be gone in a second, leaving us of heavy heart and thwarted hope.

All drivers can and do screw up at some time, they just can't reach the dizzy heights that Hamilton reaches before doing so.

I won't have a heavy heart lewis is a great driver. I just prefer rosberg. It seems I'm always preferring (what the points show as) the second best driver in the team........... oh well. ONWARD AND UPWARD, PASTOR MALDONADO!! I already said lewis is a great driver so there's my support

It's kinda true, but this year his car is so dominant he could spin and lose 10 places and have them back before people can start claiming he can't think or something.

That I believe was more McLaren's doing than Hamilton's. Today, he held up pretty well against the Rosberg onslaught even giving away two seconds in the pits. A lot of drivers would have choked under the pressure Rosberg has put on, both in Bahrain and here in Barcelona. So far Lewis has come out on top both times. Sorry to go against the stiff upper lip expectations.
