Despite enduring a troubled start to his Formula 1 career, Nelsinho Piquet has insisted he is not unduly concerned, stressing that he needs to follow in the wheeltracks of his predecessor at Renault Heikki Kovalainen, who turned his season around in dramatic fashion last year.

Piquet definitely needs to pull a Kovalainen since he hasnt really impressed anyone, unless he proves us otherwise...

How about atleast letting Piquet get one full season of F1 under his belt before the bashing start's?

I'm not bashing Piquet. I'm just quoting what he said, and thats the truth that he hasnt really impressed anyone. Why dont people leave Hammy alone then?? People have been bashing about him since Aus!!

Oh come on :) ...leave LH alone? Its more interesting when there is a good vs evil fight. Someone has to replace M. Schumacher. Since LH performance last year, there may be too much pressure for newbies to perform in a similar even though they have slower cars. However, when a driver is not close to his team mate in qualifying and race, then serious questions will always arise, whether you are an old dog or a newbie.

Yes its quite good to have a goodie and a baddie -Schuey/Hill, Lewis not a baddie though, no evidence for that at all. Alonso is the closest at the moment. Thats if you take the daddy baddy of them all out of the equation -Mad Max.

I thought someone might say that after I wrote. However, FA was the goodie for me during the MS era that I have invested too many emotions for me to change, plus FA has not done anything bad on track. So if I was new to F1, I would probably be a LH fan. LH has not done anything horrendously bad on track such as knock someone out on purpose or demanding his team mate to let him pass on the last corner. But LH is the closest thing that I have to a baddie.

although i was never a fan of the great nelson piquet, he was a real prick of a man and always cried like a baby, im yet to see his son shine, but its still early days yet, rosberg hasnt yet hit his peak yet, not everyone can get a drive with mclaren first year.

i cant stand LH hes the annoying wannabe racer boy character that is not needed in F1, maybe in america where hollywood is king, but dont bring it to european shores were more real than that

Brake testing is not something bad? Blocking pit access is not something bad?

Are you referring to the Bahrain incident there, DD?

He's done it several times.

Fair enough. I've only recently got back into F1 full-time. From mid-2002 onwards I only watched races here and there.

fernando is in 10th place most GP's and to do a kovalainen piquet needs to get on the podium but with Alonso in the team who can see that happening? :D
