You keep posting the same thing over and over again in thread after thread, it's SO BORING NOW, and so catastrophically incorrect. I know you dislike the new rules Spanky, but this repetitive !%$! about safety cars in Bahrain is really wearing...

In all fairness to spanky, he did say
4 races, 3 totally boring and 1 with a riveting last 10 laps

As a non-Mercedes fan, I agree with him! Those 10 laps were riveting!!
The rest of the race? I was busy keeping track of Ferrari's performance!!
I guess this all goes back to the subjectivity of fans...

I agree with Lew. The whole race was riveting, from the first overtake and battle to the first pitstop, though the pitstop phase and seeing which strategy would pan out for the Merc drivers. Then the safety car and will Lewis hold on or will Nico get by. Not to mention all the other battles going on throughout the field. It was breathtaking. And would still have been breathtaking were it not my driver in the thick of it. One of the best races in many years. It is beyond me how anyone can dispute that.

All I can say is, having sat though 4 races, 3 totally boring and 1 with a riveting last 10 laps, I will brake my agnostic ways and be praying for a safety car in the last few laps to hopefully give us a chance at a few laps of racing.

I wish you'd quit this repetitive nonsense about the last 10 laps of the Bahrain Grand Prix. I've mentioned this already, but I honestly don't know which race you were watching! What was uninteresting about the race prior to the safety car? Lewis and Nico had been battling for the lead LONG BEFORE the safety car ever came out! How the hell did you miss that?

Wow!

..... anyhooooo as I said in my post I think there were 3 ..... 3 ...... what I'd classify as boring races. So, you can take from that the Bahrain race wasn't boring. You could also read my post on what I thought about the race in the race thread itself. You can also get from the post that the last 10 laps were what I call riveting stuff. So riveting, I for one, want to see that again. Just like I'd like to watch another race like the last 10 laps of the French GP in '79 for 2nd place.

So, feel free to go on reading something else into my opinion of Bahrain if you want, but it isn't what I said about the race and it isn't what I said this time either :)

What I "actually said" about the Bahrain race in the race thread ......

Best race of the year so far.

We [Ferrari] gotta get our act together ASAP to join and get a piece of that action up front.

I can enjoy great racing like we were treated to last Sunday

But you are saying that the race was (quote) "a borefest", albeit for the last ten laps. You've said more or less that in this thread, you've said it below:

viewtopic.php?f=25&t=13344&p=399963#p399963

and you've said it in countless other threads.

I just don't understand where you're coming from mate, and neither does ANYONE else. The race was full of action at the front between Nico and Lewis, right from the word go, and not just after the safety car, which is what you repeatedly state. That's why the race is being termed a great one.

You simply don't wish to admit this because of your aversion to the new regs.

I really don't want to get into a a repetitive thing here. But my quotes above are exactly what I posted about the race. Yes, I did also point out that if it wasn't for the safety car the last ten laps would not have been exciting - I think you'd have to agree on that point. Lewis had a commanding lead and it certainly was the SC that brought Nico back into contention for those last few laps.

Yep, I have huge reservations about the rule changes. But I have also gone on record saying I will wait and see before I make any final decisions. I need to see what changes they may bring in for next year.

Anyway mate, no need to make too big a deal about it, I really did love the racing we had in Bahrain, I really do want to see more of it, and I'd really love my team to get their act together and get into the mix - if not this year then next year

This basically. I do wish there was a way to keep teams closer, but if you can have races like Bahrain it makes for great season development. And most of the races have had a few good battles going on in the field.

Spanky, you can't say that 'if something else happened' it wouldn't have been interesting, because someone could say that about any race as an excuse to prove how boring things are. As they say in Germany, 'If my grandmother had wheels she'd be a bus.' Perhaps we could say the same of Ferrari? (Sorry, had to.)

I say…where did everyone go? Holiday? Did our sails flop in the loooong three week break? Anyone seen my old mate, Hammer? What time is it anyway? How do we all feel about a Martini with fruit flavor? You smell that…what is that?!!! Was Lewis' hair always curly? For Gawd sake, somebody say something…I don't care about the subject. Say something!

It is sadly quiet, after such a promising start to the season and rising numbers. :( what a finely balanced ship we sail.

Quite a few people miss Hammer. Maybe if we shout really loud he'll come back. HAMMER!!!!
