I went on a few times last week but it was deserted :(

There were a few of us on, at the end of last season; but, so far, the races are much too early ((2:00 a.m., etc.)) for me to log on.
Too much light from the computer screen ends up giving me a migraine at that time of the day!
That won't be the case for the next race!! See ya there!!

Thank you Lew and Sagi. Feels like being away at boarding school and returning home after a few years. :hehe:

How active has the chat room been during races? I've enjoyed a few of those.

I used to use it all the time, but not so much recently. Other members still use it though. I may look in at the next live race, if I'm free.

Everyone was probably struggling with the crazy hours. The European rounds may bring back normal traffic.

So what do we think of today's shift in views from Mercedes AMG that team orders may be a thing of their 2014 future depending on how their rivals progress? Lewis with three wins (and easily four had his car not suffer a $25.00 part failure) vs. Nico with a 4 point advantage. Clearly no time to settle that decision now but in my mind, if this momentum continues another few races, it will become crystal clear that Lewis is the guy you want to lean on to get you to the promise land. When there is much at stake, not sure how much Nico can handle the pressure. He's never been in the thick of things before and as much as I'll give him the benefit of doubt, I'm not entirely sure what to expect. Lewis on the other hand is accustomed to being in the heat of Championships down to the bitter end so his experience is a known quantity for me.

The other question mark is, lets assume the team pip Lewis and he delivers as advertised, does that break Nico? He is a sensitive chap. How does having a World Champion come into the team, win another Championship and be forever regarded as the unofficial team leader play in Nico's head. Some guys are mentally strong and can deal with that. Is Nico up to it?

So, are we having fun yet?

Did you read my mind?? :yikes: (( ))

I literally just posted the BBC article by Andrew Benson in the Mercedes Support thread, for us to discuss! :wavey:

This is the least surprising news ever... even when team orders were banned; most teams still used them and always will! Nico will need to start beating Lewis or it will be a case of "Lewis is faster than you" after the mid season break!

But it really shouldn't be needed unless other teams start winning races, taking points away from Mercedes; frankly as things stand I think that it will take a double Mercedes failure for a different team to win!

Yeah I agree, I wasn't shocked. There has to be at least a limit at one point of the season but if Mercedes have a huge point gap between whoever is in third and Nico and Lewis are still fighting, I don't see why team orders would need to play a part but I guess it is to bring the car home safely as well, as like shown in Bahrain. Like MOA said, it isn't really needed unless another team is hot in the heels of Mercedes in the championship.

Well, it obviously needs me to get it all ship-shape again. I used to rally the troops every race meeting a year or two back, and we'd have a full house in there.

It's more difficult now, with my work schedule, and the BBC/Sky divide.

Very well, Lew. Should I be expecting my Spanish GP invite in the post then? :hehe:

Plus, a free glass of Prosecco on the door, as a welcome-back celebration :wine:

I'm in Venice for the Spanish one, but will be back in action for the one after. Problem with the Sky ones is I often have to watch on the iPad, but I guess I could get on the forum on another device.

RC, there's gotta be some pub or coffeehouse in Greece where you can catch the race. You may have to slip them a couple bucks to change the channel for you but small price to pay, yes?
