I watch streams.

That's beautiful. I like a nice meadow.

The post FP2 interviews with the Mercedes boys was a bit embarrassing.
The interviewer asked them both at the end of their interviews the same question

Paraphrased
"Have you had a sit down with Lewis/nico about what happened last time out"

Lewis made an odd face. Then said "No did not know there was a problem"

About 2 minutes later

Nico "Yes, we sat down had a good chat about it, and it will not happen again"

I am not sure if the face Lewis pulled was shock as he had not heard anything about it, or if he wanted to have some fun with the media

Hmmm McLaren looked a bit dreary in FP2...

[LiamCatterson]

Not sure if Mercedes are just slowing things down or whatever so they can save the engine just a bit but Alonso seems to be on ball from the last two sessions. Could all change tomorrow

[spankyham]

Mercedes definitely have a lot in reserve in terms of top pace. They might have a minor disadvantage to Red Bull in the tire deg area.

A significant improvement from Ferrari, which means the changes can't be new parts. More likely new software coupled with setup changes and perhaps a few tweaks.

[Jabberwocky]

Significantly down on speed trap times though

Compared to Bahrain it is a massive improvement.

The only thing I could put this down to is a significant software change that has produced a major bump on the hybrid/electrical side of the PU.

[What's Burning?]

Ferrari's gains seem very real, however the car looks to be lacking quite some downforce, no surprise that it's Alonso getting a hold of it better.

Some PU component usage information:-

Will Ferrari's sudden change in pace change Lucas tone about the state of F1? For as long as Ferrari is doing well so is F1!

Luca's been saying the same thing for years now, so I don't see him suddenly changing now.

Maybe he will suddenly become less vocal like he suddenly became extremely vocal after the first few rounds...

Most successful teams at Shanghai:

Ferrari = 4 wins
McLaren = 3 wins
Renault = 1 win
Red Bull = 1 win
Mercedes = 1 win

All the previous winners:

2013 = Fernando Alonso, FERRARI
2012 = Nico Rosberg, MERCEDES
2011 = Lewis Hamilton, McLAREN
2010 = Jenson Button, McLAREN
2009 = Sebastian Vettel, RED BULL
2008 = Lewis Hamilton, McLAREN
2007 = Kimi Raikkonen, FERRARI
2006 = Michael Schumacher, FERRARI
2005 = Fernando Alonso, RENAULT
2004 = Rubens Barrichello, FERRARI

Only Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have won the event more than once. So it's quite a varied list.

Yeah but Ferrari haven't been winning for years. If they start to win again then I suspect Luca will be happy with F1.

This is F1, no time runs away with it forever.
