FIA has rejected their appeal. I only feel terrible for Ricciardo.

Glad they didnt win the appeal, would have been farcical if they did.

I feel especially bad for Dan, but more annoyed with the team.

I second this. I'm willing to overlook my allegiance to the team and say that their case has been extremely stupid. Can't believe it's gone as far as it has so far....

Ok - I'm sure you can see through my deception. I don't give a crap about Ricciardo or Red Bull - just so long as the result is good for Vettel!:whip:

Why doesn't Vettel's sensor ever break?

Eh, mixed emotions really. Red Bull have always been a team where I see a bit of arrogance, not Ricciardo though. He's probably one of the few good men in Red Bull...It's a shame this wasn't involving Vettel because then, we'd have a party

Would Ricciardo now feel justified in the second place? If his own designer admitted that RB illegal tactics lead directly to his position, it's tainted. He should be savvy enough to realise that, and he's had a good few weeks to ready himself for that outcome.

That's a good point. They've been getting away with illegal sh!t for so long it's second nature to them.

And this is only the first stage of grief. We have four more to go. It could be a long journey.

Not seen this posted anywhere yet, but apologies if it has, and this is a repeat.

Im not a fan of The Judge, but the following does make an interesting read, especially the (lack of) defence on Red Bulls part.....

Wow, F1 is harsh... Mercedes legal council is really putting the boot on their throat.
“We are, frankly, and with great respect, concerned that Red Bull have shown such a flagrant and deliberate disregard for these rules that there is a real risk they will do it again,” said Harris. “We are here to seek to ensure that that does not happen, we must have a level playing field going forward for the remainder of the season.

I was giving RB the benefit of the doubt over this but didn't think they'd be successful in their appeal due to the action they took but now I'm amazed they appealed at all and are risking more than just the DQ

NOT to condone their actions; but, maybe they saw this as a "calculated risk"?
