Bet there weren't many folk vocal about changing the formula either!

No? I guess not everyone has the same level of ambition!!

One more thing Sagi, I thought you'd find this amusing given your statements. The inaugural GP in Bahrain was won by Schumacher with Barrichello second, with everyone else fighting for third.

Take solace, as Bogie would say we'll always have Paris.

Very cool!! Just wondering, did they have 24 seconds in hand, at the end of the race?

p.s. I've already googled it and the answer is a resounding "no"! Everyone finished the
race (bar Kimi) within six minutes of Schumi crossing the line!! 5.648m to be exact! :D

Jenson Button finished 25.32s behind the Ferrari

Where do you get the 5.648 mins ?

Mea culpa!! I looked at the Qualifying times.
Thank you for correcting me!

(((note to self: do not copy and paste when you're in a rush)))

...and i bet Barrichello wasn't allowed to challenge for the lead :whip:

First of all, let me repeat it's a difference in philosophy.
Secondly, if Barrichello signed up for the tour, what's it to any of us?

It's an affront on racing, makes a mockery of it.

Having watched last weekends race, all I can say is, if I was the TP, and I was in that position with the Ferrari team, I would give Kimi and Nando the same green light to race...... and I'd be keeping my fingers and everything else crossed :hehe:

At this point in the season there is no better way to get the max out of your team/cars/drivers than to let them race and trust they will not go too far.

its what made last weekend so exciting  ( the racing all through the field was good but the front was the main event )
if Nico and Lewis were not allowed to fight it would have taken the shine off considerably for me, the same way I found it boring watching Rubens following Michael round and Seb leading on his own.
I also think that had Ferrari been up there challenging then team orders would probably play a part.

It's easier to do when you have two strong drivers and it's still early in the season, therefore there is relatively little at stake.

I remember a number of times, last year when Alonso worked to get past Massa.
Though I don't remember the specifics, I do remember yelling at my TV screen;
but, only because there was no point in Massa getting more points than Alonso
in any race, since there was no way Massa would be in contention for the title.

It is what it is.

There are some rumors doing the rounds that SD may be replaced, and it may happen during the season. There are 2 names being floated - Flavio (please oh please don't let it be him). The other name being floated is Ross baby. Now that would be such a boost for the team. What's more, if there is real potential in the F14-T Ross is just the man to extract it and do that quickly. And of course he would bring a massive improvement to the team pit wall and race strategy. IMO we have been lacking there for quite a while.

.... probably amount to nothing though

I don't think Flavio and Monty would work well together
