I think that finally we are starting to see DRS come to fruition; where it allows cars to pull alongside but still have to battle to take the position going into the corner(s).

I'm still not a fan of it because if it's artificiality, but it's more effective in 2014 than it had been in previous years!

Yeah I agree. It had become a case of the challenge was to get within a second. Then the DRS did the job for you. I think its starting to show its merits, though its not perfect. I guess now it adds a dimension to racing now as opposed to dominating it

When they first implemented it, it was overkill due to the range of DRS function. Though it looks like they've learned fast and adjusted it so it does what it's supposed to do - aid an overtaking and not overtake!

However, it could still be overkill at a few tracks. I remember Spa last year....cars simply flying past on that straight after Eau Rouge, hopefully it's better this time around.
