I see that McLaren fans has a bit resentment. It seems that Fernando is The Devil, and three years before he was God when he beat Schumi. And later, when he went to McLaren and this fans viewed that the car had been improved a lot, and McLaren was the number one they thought that Alonso was God. But when Hamilton started to win races (all of them starting in the pole possition) and Alonso was a threat for him, Alonso started to change, and little by little he became a bad person. And he was crucified when Hamilton "touched the famous button".

And, from my point of view I think that nowadays McLaren is not the winning team that was last year. Hamilton is not a champion (nowadasys, I'm sure he'll improve his skills) and the car isn't as good as Ferrari, and the difference between this two teams are very high. The reason of that can be the premature skills of Hamilton (he doesnt' wins unless he starts in pole possition. It could be because he finds difficult to overtake another drivers) and Kovalainen, the Champion's skills of Raikkonen and Ferrari or you can blame Alonso of all.

Remember, there were a lot of people (specially McLaren fans, but not all of them) who blamed Alonso in last race because they said that Alonso had "kicked" Hamilton and the second lost his nose. And telemetry showed that this people were wrong. I think you could learn about this fact.

Great post. But what was the famous button?

It will be interesting to see what will happen if LH does not start performing like he stunningly did last year. If he does not, I would like to ask LH a few questions: "Was your performance last year due to the fact that you had a double world champion and a great driver as your team partner? And shouldn't you have been less than a of snob and cocky and learn from him so that you could help your team this year?"

The restart button, in the last lap I think he pressed this button, and the car restarted all the system, so he lost about 20 seconds.
Something similar happened in the first race, when Kovalainen overtooke Alonso, and he pressed the limit speed button, so Alonso overtook him. And in journalist asked him about this incredible overtook, and he answer: "Well, another driver who press the button".

For me,I think Alonso has filled the gap that Schumacher left behind with many in the British Press and to many fans.

Not in admiration, I mean for those who used to view Schumi as the enemy.
It's a pity, Alonso is outspoken, but I feel alot of things are taken out of context and twisted with what he is saying.

As for Mclaren, I dunno if they can be champions this year, it's may be slipping away.

With Alonso in the team, at least Hamilton had a bench mark to keep up with and beat... he isn't doing such a great job as leader.

yeah, he has the sort of love/hate that schu had, and is also a fab driver

i did not like MS until he left, cause he drove a ferrari, but he was good and brought character and talking points to the sport, as FA does

i dont know many people who think FA is ok, its a marmite thing i guess

Yeah, MSchu got the hate from Mclaren people. Because he defeated their drivers.

As for Alonso, Mclaren and Lewis fans have their sourgrapes (understandable). Plus he inherited some haters after defeating MS. But FA got more fans from defeating MS, because most people (even MS and Ferrari fans) admit that Alonso actually did a really good job...
That's the difference between Mclaren people and the rest of the world :):twisted:

Na McLaren fans have no problem its only when Alonso wanks come on and chant their sob story that we feel we HAVE to tell it how it is.

I mean every post of you guys is hilarious, you talk of Alonso as he is so different to the rest of the F1 field as if he is a god.... wake up, he won his titles thanks to Renault Michelin.... he is not a god!!!

Yeah and just look at that Kimi, the only way he won a title was thanks to leaving and joining Ferrari :P

Na, I'm just playing. Im not gonna sit and make out that Alonso is a "sob story". What I mean is at least he speaks out...
Funnily how everyone didn't think Senna whinging on about grid slots wasn't a sob story when it clearly was. Favouritism to Prost or not to Prost.
Senna's outspokeness was great though, I mean look at some of the drivers we have now, molded into a corporate image

He is God and when I woke up I saw a guy in a Renault with more than double the points of his team partner GF. followed by two Bridgestone tyres. So was it the Renault? I don't know because GF is such a good driver, look at what he is doing at Force India now. Or was it the Michelin? In 2006 Bridgstone came second and third in WDC. Does that sound like a slow tyre so that FA can thank bridgestone for handing him the WDC.

Tell us "how it is", please, I am dying to know.

I"McLaren seem like a winning team, but they are not," Alonso said.

As for the sob stories, this is the only thing I don't like about him, why doesn't he just get on with the job. If he funneled this energy to the track then maybe he did not have to worry about Honda or Toyota. And it is also the only thing that FA haters can pick up on.

I honetly think if Alonso smoked weed, he would be a better person.

So instead of seeing Alonso pissed all the time like this

...we will see him happy and a much better person to talk to like this. 8)

...If he only didnt say stuff like this, he would be my 2nd favorite driver.

I agree with the points, maybe not the god part :S

At least Renault were able to beat Ferrari in 2006, no other team were anywhere near them. At least that is something?

dude you HAVE to be from Spain yeah?

and you woke up and saw your god beaten by his team mate at McLaren and couldnt fathom how so it must be a conspiracy against your god, maybe Judith was his team principal! yes thats it.

05 and 06 was all about the tyre war, FACT!

If Bridgestones were any good in the 05 regs Schumi would have been battling with Kimi and Fernando for the title, as the Ferrari was still a good car but was let down by the tyres. In 06 Michelin and Bridgestone would trade blows on various circuits
to say Fernando beat Schumi is ok but you havent taken into account all the variables in that contest. They werent in the same car they werent in on the same tyres.
i feel kinda weird this post makes me sound pro Schumi
