Damn! It seems like i missed an awesome race...im on vacation and the hotel does not carry a channel that has F1.....Im willing to trade the beach for an exciting f1 race lol!

Karma can be a bitch man... I'm sure today, someone somewhere has a signature with Alonso's comment about his car not having enough power to defend against a Force India. I hope you enjoyed the race though, it was fantastic!

This is what makes sports so compelling, the competition, the nailing ones flag to a mast, the standing up and be counted. The lows and the highs, the pain and joy of aligning oneself with a style of competitor and the feeling of satisfaction on the rare occasions ones judgement and value judgements are ratified and justified.

And its also refreshing to be able to do this on a discussion forum where the rules are not changed arbitrarily to make it easy for any competitor, or threads not locked when events dont go according to the desires of the rule makers or their favourites

I find it very odd that Daniel Ricciardo gets a 10 place penalty for unsafe release. Maldonado gets 5 and a 10 sec stop and go for flipping a-f*****-nother racer over?

I love how the rules just wax and wane. This is not the first instance of him causing problems on track.

Maldonado is slowing to make it not look like a hit and run. He had the car running fine to carry on.

I've just finished watching the last 30 or so laps again. It really was remarkable. One thing I forgot to say before, well done Bahrain for making the track look stunning. The use of lights, and the oasis pools and sand hills was very impressive. Well done. It still doesn't detract from the stupidity of "lets make F1 greener" then put Bahrain under 5000 light bulbs but still, that's hardly Bahrain's fault and they did the best job to meet the brief.

The new regs are working a treat. Ok...ok, Merc are sailing into the sunset atm, but they are racing each other, as is the rest of the field. The fact is, so far, its been thrilling. As for the noise, I'm warming to it. I like hearing the other things going on in the background. And now, thanks to GP2, I can still have my fix of cars revving themselves into oblivion. Win, win!!

Yes, ok, appease the sponsors with regards the sound, I get that, but don't take this new, thrilling F1 away. It made Bahrain exciting...IT'S DOING SOMETHING RIGHT!!!

Yeah I saw it twice today at work already, heart still beats faster in places the third time round

The body language when Nico got out the car and rugby tackled Lewis = respect, incredulous, pride, disappointment but not bitterness

Nico will treasure each time he beats Lewis because he knows he is exceptional.

So refreshing to see 2 noble and non cowardly competitors slug it out, good to finally remove the nasty taste of the McLaren years, and the Red Bull/Ferrari anti sports fixing

What I find refreshing about this "dominance" is that its not arrogant. Red Bull (IMO) became arrogant. So long as Merc allow the drivers to compete with each other and don't give an aura of arrogance, I'll be content

Best race I've seen in a long time.
Really impressed with how Mercedes let their guys race. There's massive respect between everyone in that team that I think no matter how hardly fought the battle, Nico and Lewis will work just fine.
