Just watched the highlights on the BBC. :D

I have to say this........I think that was one of the best races I've ever seen. So much for me saying that the V6's were boring.

I thought Lewis was brilliant, I thought Nico Rosberg was brilliant, I thought Perez was brilliant and Riccardo and Hulkenberg.......the list goes on and on.

Lewis drove an absolute stormer of a race. Superb racing with Nico.
I also thought the night race setting was spectacular in Bahrain. Well done to them for putting on a great show.

I'm just watching BBC highlights. How did Lewis keep Nico back for those ten laps! Still tense second time round!

I didnt give him a hope soon as the SC came out, but he proved me worng and fooled me like he always does, that was just stunning when qualy, tires, sc, and maybe setup were all in Nicos favour

Masterfull :cloud9:

You also see both sides of DRS today, the annoyance when the faster driver (that you support :p ) cant get away, but the flip side it kept nico close today which made the race more exciting,

I still hate it, but i support a driver that can overtake without it :D

I think Nico had the faster car today, and Lewis knew that, but Lewis just wouldn't give up. He raced better............and Nico was excellent. Lewis at his supreme best!

This is why I love the new regs. Racing not driving skill. It also lets the fractions step in, those tiny parts that can make or break. Hamilton's would have been that re-pass before the first pit stops. Then holding off Rosberg. It's not defend, get overtaken and fade back now.

I missed the last 15 laps of the race. I'm still trying to work out how to record from my set top box....

I at least got up to the nasty crash with Gutierezz.... But then my recorder conked out 2 laps into the safety card period....

You may not want to watch it it's a little painful, but if you're a fan of the sport you won't care and just enjoy the best race we've had in years.

The replay starts here in 45min, first race I'll be watching in full for the 2nd time since Nurburgring 2011. :D

That would be right. The one race I don't watch this year happens to be a cracker!

You have to see it!!! Get a replay somewhere!

Now I know why I love F1 and motor racing in particular. That race provided more uplifting entertainment in one sitting, more elevation of the soul and spirits than an evening watching La Boheme or having a fantastic meal in my fave restaurant or watching the best film at the cinema

Agreed. The pair of them really didn't hold back and I think this is one of the few combinations throughout the grid where racing as closely as they did wouldn't end in disaster (one of the first-corner comebacks that Lewis made, I genuinely did think was going to result in him clipping Rosberg's wing and getting a puncture). Now, if we could have more races like this... :hehe:

I have to admit, as much as a sausage Maldonado is, I couldn't help but laugh at Gutiérrez's "what was that?!" over the radio. Glad to hear the guy is okay. This did make me chuckle, too: https://twitter.com/TimBridgman/status/ ... 80/photo/1
