How does a guy who doesnt think much design a cap, surely one would have to think about lines and shapes, a bit like the professor drivers who think of tyres and fuel and strategy during a race

errr hold on.....

It's not like Lewis invented the style, most Moto guys wear this style. Kimi loves it too, even Ricciardo wears a RedBull version.

Yes that was cool. Toto did the same when he was interviewed. So much of this is down to Ross, I'm glad they're recognising that fact.

If Brawn were still around I'd boldly claim Merc are already double world champions of 2014.

We know Ross was watching that race like a hawk. He was confident enough to leave the team because he knew where he stood with their car this season. He'd done it before. IMO had he had doubts about the car, he'd had hung about this year, his leaving speaks volumes.

On 17th Jan (barely a month back), Merc's number of likes on fbook: 2,018,318

Today they changed their cover photo;

Meanwhile the 'oldest team on the grid' had 956,350 on 17th Jan, and 1,437,489 today.

Just sayin

I posted that ^ like 3 weeks back. Number of likes today totals 3,771,798. Power of branding on social media, and the season hasn't even begun.

You can bet Mercedes meant business (literally) when they signed up as an official works team. :thumbup:

Fascinating stuff.

In a way, Merc are the oldest racing team on the grid. They were racing before Enzo was decided to buy engines from Alfa for his new team. And ofcourse they were the first manufacturer when they invented the motorcar

As far as pedigree goes there is no contest

And apart from the rich kid, special privileges brown envelopes racing show beloved by celebrities called F1, Ferrari barely register on the landscape of global motor sports, unlike Porsche and Mercedes

This can't be that new, I saw this in a video some time a few weeks ago. By splitting it you get cooler air since the compressor is away from the heat of the exhaust and so they start out with cooler air, which gives them move boost. The drive shaft goes through the engine so replacing a turbo unit is a LARGE undertaking, that's the tradeoff.
