Hopefully we will go to Ferrari in 2009... As Kimi's No2.

That is not going to happen, read:
Intresting tidbit of info concerning the rumour's that Alonso will go to Ferrari. Bob Varsha just stated on the SPEED Report that he has heard from a few member's very very high up on the board of Ferrari and they said:
"There is no place for Alonso at Ferrari and never will be, he is short of character and he is not a team player".

Finally the rumour's can be quashed as it, once again in Varsha's word's, is just Alonso trying to keep his name in the press.

Alonso is such a pompous arse I cant stand him  ! So McLaren has not won in some year's but they are consistently at the top fighting for both championship's, to say they are not winner's is blasphamy!!! Also did it NOT take Renault 11yr's before they won another WDC & WCC after MS departed?

Took less than that, they were nothing more than an engine supplier until 1997.
If you mean Bennetton, yeah it's about 10 years... but then again they're never labelled with the "winners" tag.

Mclaren have had chances and chances to win the title in the last few years, haven't got there have they?

Ok I concede that last year was Alonso and Hamilton's faults in the end... But look at 2005, 2003, 2000? All those years they had a good enough car, but as ever the car wasn't reliable.

Alonso is again showing what a horrible little rat he is. It's funny how he left Renault for McLaren saying that Renault were unable to keep the momentum up and that McLaren were a team who looked to be going forward. Furthermore, Alonso got the boot, only being allowed to leave quietly because it was expedient to McLaren. Besides, even McLaren weren't a title-winning outfit, they're still a darn sight better then Renault.

That's Adrian Newey for you. His cars are dreadfully unreliable for one reason or another. Look at Red Bull (although things are slightly better this year). I also think McLaren lost some of their edge in changing over to the technology centre and lacking a decent test driver. Raikkonen, for instance, was happy to complain about the car, but was not so good at coming up with any solutions.

What another load of inept 'testicles' from FA. He knew McLs record, and Renaults, in 2006 so why did he leave Renault and go to McL with that knowledge? :? Perhaps he went to McL because he wanted to loose - ah that must be it!

no actually renault won championships in 1996 and 1997 before packing it in and starting up again in 05 and 06. the most well known engines in F1 are
Ferrari(mainly for nostalgia)
Renault(it spreads itself over decades and teams all in one big hit)
Honda(very succesfull with senna)

I don't know what pat symonds and Flavio are feeding Fernando over at the Renault HQ but it is making him crazy. Mclaren have been the one consistently challenging Ferrari for the title in the past 8 years and reliability is what cost them and kimi titles. This is just sour grapes over the fact that lewis is the one fighting for the world title and he is at the back racing the nobody's.

Alonso only said that because he was fired by Mclaren. And he only moved to Mclaren because both Mclaren and Ferrari are the two only teams that will be in F1 forever and that will consistently give good cars in the long-run. Obviously, FA was looking for the long-run and Mclaren would be a very safe bet that eventually they would give him a great car (but he only needs a semi-decent car and a good team behind him to win the WDC).

I think that Alonso miscalculated the commitment of Renault to F1. Renault is not as well off financially as Toyota, Mercedes, or BMW and Carlos Gnosh would easily sacrifice its F1 operations in order to make Renault more profitable. BMW now has two wind tunnels working for F1. And Toyota has the biggest budget in F1. Hopefully, Renault will be in F1 for a long time, with or without FA. And Alonso will try and get his hands on a good car and team. That is what good racers do.

You guys were actually watching F1 last year and the year before right? Unless my aging memory has gone bad, FA signed with McLaren after Renault made noises like they were leaving F1. By the time they changed their minds, FA had signed at McLaren. He didn't hop over there after winning the championship for any of the rediculous reasons some of you are trying to bake up. He left because it looked like the car was evaporating under him. He spent one year with a rookie and his team, both of which treated Alonso like the 5th wheel...so he returned to the team he is happy at. That's all. No big conspiracy, internet, bong pipe dreamed up drama...just a Brit team with a Brit rookie that they let do anything he wanted at Alonso's expense...then they cheated and pulled Alonso into scandal...so he left. No big surprise there. I don't blame the man at all. I do so love to see Hamilton blow another year's points though....makes my day every time he screws the pooch.

its funny how Alonso fans act as though he was so hard done by at McLaren, fact is what happened on track was nothing untoward by the McLaren team you can all dream up they were planning his demise on purpose what ever. Its just an excuse from Alonso and his fans. Sure Hamilton didnt like playing second fiddle but why would Alonso need a number 1 status if he is so superior? what a laugh!
and brought him into scandal bill? he was well and truelly apart of the scandal.

Alonso is a talented driver but his fans seem to be on a similar path to JV fans back in the day.... and so Is Fernando

Didn't F A only go back to Renault because that was the best available at that time? I don't think that it was anything to do with loyalty to Renault, or even that he thought that he could win this year with Renault , it was just the best available. I'd bet that if a seat with Ferrari or BMW had been available he would have snatched their arms off and 2 fingers to Renault. Of course a driver has to talk his team up, and Renault is a good team on hard times, and may well come back next year, but ,that is not why FA is there.
I've said it before but, if FA were to keep his mouth shut and just drive, he would be great. If he could clear his mind of all these spoilt child syndrome thoughts he would probably drive even better.

Ooooh, my stomach would turn if he started to croon (and in Spanish at that!)...

it's probably some sour grapes there; the same that Lewis, Dennis and Mclaren also have. Whatever they do to appear different is just outright hypocrisy. But anyway, its also the interviewers and media expecting them to have these bitter feelings and getting what they want out of them for the sake of stirring the stink. Alonso not being the best communicator out there.....

Part of what he said is true, but its also the things careful and un-bitter people avoid saying or at least say 'better'.
