Some good info from UBS on the race. Note the 65% full throttle time - that makes it very marginal on being able to run at the max flow rate for the full race. We are almost guaranteed that drivers will have to run part of the race at lower than their max race pace. That will need self control from the drivers and excellent management as well.

OmniCorse is reporting today that all Ferrari powered cars were seriously disadvantaged by the FiA during the race. Apparently the FiA has a control flag that they set for each system which enables the MGU-K to function after the car has reached 100kph. Apparently the FiA did not enable this for all Ferrari powered cars including Nando and Kimi's car. Even worse for Kimi the FiA failed to enable his DRS. The effect of this was that both Nando and Kimi were 120Hp down for approx 33 seconds per lap. This was able to be fixed on Nando's car after the first pit stop.

Hopefully the FiA gets it sorted for Malaysia.

So... Why isn't Ferrari making this information public?
Why should the FIA get away with this sort of incompetence?
Why was it only the Ferrari-powered vehicles?
Can you imagine the uproar if it had been Mercedes/Renault-powered vehicles?
There would have been cries about how the FIA only ""assists"" Ferrari!!

For pity's sake, this doesn't seem fair!! :crying:

By the time they worked out what the problem was there was little that could be achieved. I think the team rightly decided to concentrate on the upcoming race. From the results today that was a good decision.
Also, if you recall this is the second year a row McLaren screwed up with the ECU.

I understand not making a fuss, because then it looks like we're looking for excuses; but, this is
something pretty serious.

Yes, I remember problems with the ECU; but, isn't it strange that it's only the Ferrari-powered
cars that have been affected?
