Don't know if anyone else has heard of this...But here you go...

Red Bull owner Dietrich Mateschitz says his company could quit Formula 1 if he is not happy with the way the sport is run. His remarks follow Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo's exclusion from the Australian Grand Prix and the adoption of new rules.

Sound like pre-Appeal sabre rattling to get FIA to keep them sweet.

Sounds like someone laying the ground work for them pulling out of F1 because they are no longer winning, and now have a 'valid' excuse...

My money's on rosberg, barring mechanical failures. He was breathing down hamilton's neck for the last several laps last year being told to hold position.

You love losing money don't you. :hehe:

It's what I do :D Nobody can ever say I'm afraid to put my money where my mouth is!! Because I'm not 8-)

Why would you shove good $$$ up their bad arses?:twisted::D

Good riddance to Red Bull if it is the case that they are planning on quitting; Ricciardo's DSQ was fair as all teams had to use the same FIA data from the fuel flow sensor, rules are rules, it's the same for everyone.

Personally I'd like to see more privateer teams in F1 instead of these corporations who are only in F1 to suit their agenda.

I think the privateer days are over. Look how marussia and Caterham have struggled.

Maybe we need cost cutting measures. #InbeforeTifosi.

Well, we said exactly the same thing in the early 2000s, when teams like Arrows, Jordan and Prost folded. Then came the manufacturer era, with Toyota, Honda, BMW, Spyker all coming and going. Cue... the return of the privateers. Like we have now.

I still can't believe Toyota, Honda, BMW all left F1, to me it's a no brainer to be in the sport even if they're at the back all the time... If Red Bull started to sell cars at end of 2012 or 2013 they would of sold like hot cakes; get Renault to make a super car and call it the "Red Bull Renault S1" and they would of had a bunch of millionaires buy the car -_-

Historically small/privateer teams have succeeded through innovation. For a long time now there has been a push to:-
1) limit, cap and restrict
2) make F1 orient to production car manufacturers

The prescriptive nature of 1) stifles innovation harming the privateer and benefiting the big spending teams.

Look at the ridiculous wind tunnel activities now. Because teams are not allowed to practice they rely on wind tunnels. The FiA restricts wind tunnel running days so the big teams now have pit crews to speed changes inside the wind tunnel to maximize run time. The cost of the simulators and CFDs are now higher than track running costs and, guess what, the teams that spend more and more on super-computers get to run more simulations in the same given time.

In the end F1 continues towards to mediocrity of the family sedan market with restrictions to ensure the top spending top teams will always be at the top.

I love F1 and my team but I also recognize that F1 could be a lot better.
