Nicos lap was set with 2/3rds fuel on board.
For arguments sake lets assume that the Fuel Consumption is 100kg / 56 laps = ~2kg per lap with an average fuel weight time penalty of 0.06 s / kg then ignoring SCs etc ball park figure is 2.4 seconds
And thats assuming Nicos fastest lap was the quickest he could go with that fuel on board, which we know it wasnt as he was just making a gap.
My maths is off top of my head and couls be wrong but I think we can safely conclude that the (Merc) engines are already faster than last year on less fuel, with less noise, with less downforce and with more robust tyres
There are no grounds for any fuss at all, especially as during the race there was no visible fuel saving different to what has happened in the last few years when cars started off under fueled
