Discuss the sport you love with other motorsport fans

NOTHING sinister about my comment, NOTHING snide intended; just showing disappointment.

That's the thing Sagi, you say things that tend to be over and over taken the wrong way, so either it's you being coy or everyone else being overly sensitive. This would be okay, but then the minute anyone speaks a shred of denigration about anything painted red you jump in the same fashion as you accuse others of doing with your posts.

It is a vicious cycle, and you and cookin' have to stop it, it's getting old and tired now.

Hold on, I am not coy or ambiguous when I criticism divers or teams. I am here to pass opinions on teams and drivers to whoever is interested in reading them and contrary to popular belief every one gets equal opportunities for criticism. Yes some teams and drivers also receive praise where others dont, but thats subjectiveness that comes with sports supporting

I'm not trying to be coy as I'm a pretty up front sort. The problem seems to be what so many fans believe
and expect from Ferrari fans. Generalizations can be tricky, especially when applied to individuals.

I can't speak for all Ferrari fans; but, I know I won't lay down and be run over by fans of other teams/drivers,
just because I'm in the minority. Does that mean I will make derogatory comments about other drivers/teams,
NO, I will absolutely NOT follow suit; but, if I make a comment that is not all peachy sweet and not in line with
the general consensus, that does NOT mean I'm tearing apart that driver/team and what they can accomplish.

I'm not sure why it seems necessary to take anything I post apart syllable by syllable in the hopes of finding a
hidden meaning that is simply NOT there? I offer my opinion, which is oftentimes in the minority; but, that's
just fine, as I don't expect everyone to agree with everything I say! That would be boring!

IF, as has been the case, something I've posted doesn't make sense/needs clarification, I have gladly explained
myself and, if need be, I've apologized for it. Most importantly, I have no problem doing that.

Sagi I have heard you on more than one occasion make somewhat disparaging comments about Hamilton or Mercedes. That's ok, cos I'll just come back. But you become very defensive when anything bad is hinted at Ferrari. You can't play that both ways. speaking personally I don't think I have said anything bad about Ferrari recently. ( I did during the Schumacher and FIA favouring years I admit that)

I say bad stuff about Ferrari all the time, I'm okay when people say bad stuff about the teams and drivers I like. When I respond I do have my foundations for saying it and I am factual. (not like saying Lewis didn't take care of his car that's why he didn't score any points) So it's okay to have the discussion and it's okay to say negative things about other drivers and teams, however don't get defensive when someone points out that you have double standards about what you expect from others and what you do yourself.

We all have a tendency to get defensive about our favorites, but if it stops there and it stays friendly no one will get too upset about it and it won't get boring and repetitious to everyone else. At some point it has to stop otherwise it just puts everyone off.

I'm not sure why it seems necessary to take anything I post apart syllable by syllable in the hopes of finding a
hidden meaning that is simply NOT there?

Because you so often go out of your way to post uninformed opinions about things. That's okay, but you can't expect your comments based solely on opinion and not on facts to go unchallenged.

The two options are, research what you are about to post before you do OR don't post it at all. If you do choose to post it, then have it be clearly stated that it's you opinion and not based on anything tangible. Perhaps this way someone won't feel obligated to respond since it's clear that we all reserve the right to say black is white, but we won't receive credibility when we say it.

@ WB

I understand and accept that not everyone is going to agree with me.
I do NOT have a problem with that.

And...

Oh, you know what, there's no point in turn this into another circular
discussion...

Your suggestions are duly noted. :wavey:

Everybody bags someone, it's gotten to the point where we are all hypocrites to tell others to "stop it" so why don't we all just move along and go balls to the wall!

If I list incidents it will just exasperate the situation won't it. Here's a couple off the top of my head......the comments around the Merc tyre test in the summer and the recent one about Lewis not being nice to Nico.
Now don't get me wrong, you are entitled to voice those views, I don't mind at all, but you must expect them to be rebuffed as you would rebuff similar comments regarding Ferrari. There can't be one rule and code of behaviour for supporter of team/driver X but a different one for supporter of team/driver Y

Anyone think Lewis (en pic) was still recovering from some X the previous night?

If I need to look like that to go quick in an F1 car, I wouldn't be very happy. Seriously he looks like he could be beaten to a pulp by the guy behind him.

Ditto. I adore my carbs way too much.
