Allan McNish:

BBC F1 analyst Allan McNish said: "The Mercedes is very quick, but the battle for second is close between McLaren, Williams, Red Bull and Ferrari.
"I think Ferrari will be there or thereabouts, too, but I am a little bit confused as to why Alonso appears to be able to get more out of the car than Kimi Raikkonen."

Maybe McNish should have checked his facts before insinuating that there was some sort of preference!!
Actually, he could have just checked with spanky:

From FP1
Nando with a newer rear wing, Kimi running a previously tested one.

I dont see how Alaln McNish' comments are insinuating anything..... Sounds like you are a little too defensive Saggi.

Maybe... But, let's face it, there are a lot of people (on this forum and beyond) who are "expecting" it!

How was that insinuating there was a preference? He said he doesn't understand how Alonso is getting more out the car than Kimi, that isn't suggesting the team are siding with Fernando, just that he has gotten the new driving style faster....

You're a sharper eye than me Spanky, all I can find it that they moved the location of the Santander logo and perhaps a little fiddling with the monkey seat.

Good clever move by RBR to mount the camera in the wing, The way they have improved since testing is very impressive, think they will be the team to beat again by the time we get back to Europe :( cummon Merc, Prove me wrong :)

I doubt it. They are behind mercedes, but this yer they have more to worry about, also, they will then need to upgrade, by that time mercedes would still have more to offer.

I hope you are right, but i have a sinking feeling that RB got the fastest car again, and are just getting closer and closer to the operating level that Merc etc are already at.

God i hope im wrong :D
