Where did he say that?

Nice, I saw RDs interview in another site but no mention of Lewis or anything...simply about McLaren being unfit and needing to turn around the team asap.

Very nice! I think Ron was possibly bitterly disappointed when Lewis left McLaren. Now things have cooled he perhaps sees things a bit differently. I'm sure he'd gladly have Lewis back at McLaren , and with Ron at the helm and dead wood gone, I think in the future, Lewis might be tempted back.
But right now I'm loving him at Merc! and I think Lewis is loving it too.

If he did go back to McLaren, Or move to another team, I think it would be a more confident and self assured Lewis than the one who grew up at McLaren, he's gained hugely from his move.

I agree 100%. Not sure if it was being away from McLaren, or working with Ross, or possibly even Lauda's influence, but I saw a tremendous growth of maturity and self-assurance in Lewis last year.

On 17th Jan (barely a month back), Merc's number of likes on fbook: 2,018,318

Today they changed their cover photo;

Meanwhile the 'oldest team on the grid' had 956,350 on 17th Jan, and 1,437,489 today.

Just sayin

I posted that ^ like 3 weeks back. Number of likes today totals 3,771,798. Power of branding on social media, and the season hasn't even begun.

You can bet Mercedes meant business (literally) when they signed up as an official works team. :thumbup:

Alesi said it is no surprise Mercedes looks set to dominate early in 2014.

“That has not happened by chance,” said the French-Sicilian. “As (Ferrari boss) Stefano Domenicali has said, Mercedes is a giant who did an extreme preparation for this championship.“

I just thought this was quite an interesting quote to stick on here; not that we didn't already know Merc has the best car, but it's nice to see that drivers are openly saying it and not being PR herded into "They look fast but we've got an accurate watch sponsor" etc.

Massa, 32, said he thinks Mercedes has the best 2014 car, and when asked ‘Hamilton or Rosberg’, he answered: “(Nico) Rosberg.“

But when asked who he would put money on for the title, Massa grinned: “I don’t like talking about myself…“
