I'm not going to point out the races he did not stuff up. That would be the job of a fan of LH.

want to point out the races where Alonso stuffed up then?

Japan.

Hungary: Alonso should not have done that to LH.

And he does brake tests here and there. But I think that FA does more good sportsmanship stuff than bad, so I prefer him to LH.

Man... those Mclaren fans sure love their long words. Thank god they are not german

Alonso also didn't do too good in Canada as well, but it was just a poor showing, not a monumental F'up. To me, Alonso lost the 07 WDC for 3 reasons:

1) His inability to keep his head in a hostile (according to him) environment.
2) Lack of team support.
3) Ferrari were able to deliver.

6secs: you forgot to mention Spa

he lost the title because he wasnt concentrating ontrack and too worried about Lewis abit like Alonso's fans

If that statement is true, it would lead one to believe that Alonso was a better driver than Hamilton that year.

To be fair, Hamilton shouldn't have stuffed Alonso in the first place - and don't deny it, he's admitted it himself. Yes, Alonso's reaction was rash and harsh, but it wasn't like he just did it off the top of his head out of vindictiveness.

Bud: You make me laugh sometimes. That's one of the all-time classic loads of bull

care to explain? definition of better would be not getting distracted by your team mate wouldnt it?

[Denthúl]

The fact that he could end the season on equal points with his team-mate whilst also being distracted. Had he not been distracted, he would have had more time to concentrate on his racing, thus allowing him to do better.

and everything i say you choose to disagree with so im glad i can make you laugh

oh wait equal shouldnt be used should it when talking about Alonso at Mclaren maybe try same amount of points as team mate

you would expect a world champion to not be distracted in the first place. going around in circles over nothing here duder

Alonso was busy behaving badly off track and could not compete to the best of his ability. I'm sure that Alonso would have beaten Hamilton if he put his mind to it . The fact that he got equal points shows what a great driver he is

[Denthúl]

Hey, you raised the point, I just explained it. Of course he was going to get distracted. He had never been in that situation before. He was used to having a team-mate that wasn't able to give him that much of a challenge. Look at how Fisi performed in 2005 and 2006 compared to Alonso. The only reason that I feel that Lewis didn't have that pressure is because there was no expectation of him like there was with Fernando. He had just won two WDCs and had joined one of the best teams in the sport. You cannot deny that he was under immense pressure to deliver a third title. That and the fact that he had a team-mate that could match him built up over the course of the season.

In 2005, Raikkonen was challenging him for the title. In 2006 it was Schumacher. In 2007, it was Raikkonen, Hamilton and Massa. That's a lot to cope with. Sure, some of the things he did were things I don't approve of but I can see why he did them and I'm willing to bet that he wouldn't have been the only one.
