I think he should name it "Typical Female". Because it's being so temperamental and such hard work .....

Lewis has a gearbox problem :( He hasn't run yet, was hoping to se some quali sims today. Hope they sort it.

That said, before they changed Nico's engine yesterday they'd used only one engine for all the testing so far, which equates to five GP weekends, which I think is what the engines have to do.

Either we have already seen Ferrari doing q runs and didn't realise it
OR
They haven't done any (and don't look like they are going to do any today)

I hope it's the later of those two options

More likely to be the latter, since i read that in the 2nd test their long run pace was comparable to Mercedes (think they were on average 0.2s a lap down)

So which teams do we think has a chance of finishing with 1 or both cars in Australia?

My predictions for finishes in Melbourne are:

Both Cars - Williams, Force India
One Car - McLaren, Mercedes, Ferrari, Sauber, Caterham
No Cars - Red Bull, STR, Marussia, Lotus

Total finishers based on that - 9

The eternal optimist :D

The fastest Ferrari laps so far have been very consistently in the mid 35s - 35.4 ish with both drivers within tenths of each other on various days. That indicates a limit of some sort.
However only Merc and Williams have done 33s. So its not Ferrari slowness more like Merc and Williams finding something special
However it could be Ferrari have been running with a disadvantage of some sort that they will unleash today. But that wouldnt be fair on Kimi who spent time looking for an optimum setup

From a selfish perspective I'd just love to see them do some q setups and 3 lap runs clearly pushing the limits. But I don't think that is going to happen.
