the ole benefit of the doubt, as long as they dont ping other drivers furthermore this season in a similar situation and stay consistent then its all ok

Do I hate Ferrari ? .... I don't think I do. …. but it is a fair question.

I do think that McClaren, in particular, have been singled out as a villain ... Ron Dennis especially.

My innate sense of fair play has been alerted to the extent that I tend to favour McClaren, until (and if ever), the pendulum swings the other way.

I just like to see rules implemented fairly … and manifestly, they aren’t currently being seen to be so.

I like what you said bro BUT my fair play or cheater support still remain's among two team's as it has since the real LOTUS team left F1 l I have alway's supported McLaren and Ferrari because of what they mean to the sport so I try not to take side's with either one but when one is blatanly wrong I will agree with it.

Hopefully when we are finally ridden of MM we will get a fairer playing field, one can only hope!

If there was no danger on the track .... please answer why there was then a red flag waived and the session closed down for a few minutes ..... isn't that indicative of some sort of danger?

F1 really is F1at.

I have no great love for McClaren, any more than Ferrari ....... but there does seem to be some leaning towards some teams, in terms of stewards decisions, rather than equality to all teams.

It makes me, in turn, lean towards suppport for McClaren rather than FIA-supported Ferrari.

They put out the red flags so that people could come and remove Sato's car. I know that I wouldn't want to be standing at the pit lane entrance even under double-waved yellows.

Furthermore, at one of the previous races (I can't remember which of the two) the ITV commentators made comments about how some drivers had been brought before the stewards because they had set fastest lap/sector times under yellows. They weren't penalised for it.

Good Point .
If it was in a race situation they would have moved Sato's car under SINGLE waived yellows at most.

you cant just ignore flags, had he set another time which was slower and a fast lap, penalty should have been applied,

no other drivers might see that a danger is over and just ignore the flags, its a possibility, and a dangerous one

i agree he couldnt see it and there wasnt any danger but its not the issue really

the team should have been on the radio

Meh, then the stewards would have been inconsisten (a point which has been raised above). There was a case, I think at Malaysia, where several drivers had set fastest sectors under yellows and weren't penalised. For those that want consistency, you have to accept that to punish Massa would have failed to give that and thus would not have been fair.

To be perfectly honest, that flag should have been shown before the corner as well. If that had been the case, Massa would have had plenty of warning and therefore should probably have been penalised for it.

One thing I'm wondering about is whether or not the marshal was instructed to wave the yellow flag or if he made the decision himself because he really didn't look like he knew what he was doing as he ran out onto the track at first then moved back behind the wall before waving the flag. If race control hadn't issued the instruction then that would explain why there were no flags shown before the corner and there wouldn't have been any light on Massas steering wheel and the teams probably have some way of recieving the warnings too which wouldn't have shown anything if that was the case.

MrChips welcome to the Matix, when you see the real world exposed by FIAt dominated half truths you will experience a feeling of nausea. It will pass and be followed by annoyance. You may hear a buzzing in your ears, it's all the FIAt fans rewriting history as it's made. Maybe you should have taken the red pill and lived a life of ignorance, but now it's too late. Welcome.

I wonder if there are any Ferrari fans who feel the FIA is making them look stupid and giving them the wrong impression to fans of other teams?
