It is like a bird sat on a power line as long as you do not touch the car and the floor at the same time you should be safe. (Depending on the voltage)

Don't they say if there's a storm with lightning you're safe if you wear willies or you're in a car? Because of the rubber

I don't think willies will help much, especially if it has a prince Albert.

I would go with being in a car. It is a big Faraday cage really so it would be good.

Speculations on another forum about this image, and drivers being told to leap from potentially live cars to avoid "Arching"

Great caption pic tho :P

This is still incredibly dangerous, if the driver slips or doesn't jump far enough it can jump to them.

willies

You've got something else on your mind I see...

F1... rubber [Check]

The cockeyed exhaust of the E22 looks ridonkulous.

Staying on RC's topic I see but yeah it does look rather weird.

I just read over Sky's and the BBC's coverage of the test today, It's pretty impressive how many Laps Mercedes and McLaren are throwing in.

I made a bet against someone during the last race of 2013 that the Red Bull's dominating streak will come to an end and Mercedes will take over for 2014 with McLaren back on better form and Ferrari too and so far my bet with him looks good :D

Maybe there is a parallel after all, the rubber willies that operate on battery power must be also protected from sudden wetness, maybe RBR need to send someone down to Ann Summers :D

.... meanwhile, back at the racing ....

I keep hoping these cars are somehow going to prove we are not going to make another quantum step backwards in performance. Ten years ago we were a hair away from running in the 20-somethings. Last year on hards and mediums we were doing low 32's. Now we are running on softs and supersofts and we are in the 34's. Plus, this is a track where you spend most of the time on full throttle so, in theory, it should favor the high torque, wide bandwidth, extra geared cars. :irked:
