Despite the Merc being tipped to be the car to beat, Lewis says he will have to drive better than he has ever driven before if he is to win the championship this year. he also confirms a comment I made earlier, which is that last years car.....whilst being a great car.......... Did not suit Lewis' late breaking style at all. He couldn't get the brakes the way he wanted them. A target for this year is to hone the car to suit his style more ( I'm thinking paddy could be very very useful here) He also admits to serious dieting as the Merc is one of the heaviest cars on the grid

Paddy will have been a massive bonus for Lewis' preferences out of the car for 2014. Compared to last season he should now be at the very least on par with Nico as far as preference. It obviously early but I would be surprised if Nico gets as close this season

He's had a year worth of inputs, so the excuse of 'car doesn't suit me' won't work from here on in.

I expect Lewis to beat Rosberg again this year and by a bigger margin but Rosberg will be pushing him especially in qualifying.

Apparently when Lewis signed for Merc they asked him what he would like most, and he said 'fricken car' so the Germans gave him a fric in his car
