I recently watched a interview with Allan McNish on this upcoming season. I understood him to say that this year will require a lot of driving skill and adjustments to be made and that he believed Jenson would be very good and successful as this.

Will try and find the link to that interview cause there were quite a few interesting points he raised. He somewhat implied that LM racing was ahead of F1 in certain areas already, such as ERS.

I did not read that interview when I saw it. I just assumed it would be another rant by an ex driver

Jenson , in his triathlete pursuit of fitness has signed up the McLaren mechanics to compete in a triathlon without telling them. Perhaps he thinks it's a good opportunity to bond with his mechanics, a change from taking them out for dinner..........somehow I think they might prefer the dinner ticket!

CookinFlat6 posted this

“Martin’s is a really good leader and he’s a proper human being as well.”
“He’s a guy that you can trust, you can believe in. I feel that everyone at the factory, all the people I speak to when I’m there feel exactly the same.
“It’s so difficult for a Team Principal when a team that normally wins grands prix suddenly isn’t winning grands prix, but I think he is the best leader to bring us through this difficult time.”

Jenson Button has jumped to the defence of McLaren and their under-pressure team principal, Martin Whitmarsh, after their failure to win a single podium place this season for the first time since 1980.

Button said his result at Interlagos had "put a smile on everyone's face" and added: "The management is good here. They've had a tough time of it this year and everybody is quoting figures. It's always going to be the case when you have a difficult year. You're going to look for someone to blame but I think they've come through it very well and I think they're strong and going to do a good job next year."

Speaking to Autosport, Button revealed that he believes the arrival of Boullier will provide McLaren with some fresh momentum, after falling behind the F1 pace-setters recently.

"I think it's good to have fresh ideas, and I think he [Boullier] does add to the team," Button told Autosport.

Ok, Question CookinFlat6. What is a driver supposed to say? If he or any driver said my TP is s*** and we wont win anything he would be fired, yes? Every driver thinks they can win, or at least win the battle they are in. I am really tired of seeing the negative comments from you on the Jenson Button thread. If you hate him so much just keep out! This thread has been locked so many times because you keep stirring s***, LET IT GO.

We all know Lewis is faster, but some of us like Jenson. Can you take your hate to Autosport please?

I remember Button challenging Lewis to compete against him in a triathlon at a time Lewis was a front runner for the WDC and Buttons season at Honda involved being a back marker.
At least Jenson feels competitive on a track in something. Lets see what Ron says if there are any negative repercussions charity or not

You didn't answer the Question. The question was what is any driver supposed to say about a TP and a team? You single Button out every time, what has he said that any other driver hasn't said in the last 3 years?
You are deflectiing the question.

he should have at least mentioned or paid a tribute to the loser TP who did so much for him :wavey:

Now you are just being silly :) Anyway I am off to bed, go at it with anything you can find to discredit anyone other than Lewis. And you still didn't answer the question I asked. Kinda par for the course is it, deflect, deflect, deflect. Attack, attack, attack.

Night Night :)

For me, anyone who says something that certain posters disagree with are ridiculed, picked apart, shat on, then picked apart again to be further ridiculed. I thought this was a forum where we could express our thoughts. If my thoughts conflicted with anothers then a short discussion would be ok, not a rant, not a demeaning put down, not trying to 'win' the discussion.

No, he said loser TP, that's lo-ser, LO-SER TP...that means Whitmarsh. Would Cookin imply Brawn is a loser? You're not new to the forum now are you? :)

No worries Lemonade, I'm here to walk you through reading a post with some effort. :)

Okay let's not turn this into another Hamilton thread. No need to kick Whitmarsh when he's down, he's already laid claim to the worst McLaren season in thirty years, is there anything that can be said that will make the guy feel even worse?

EDIT: correction, thirty three years.

Security: Sir, you just got another parking ticket
Whitmarsh: You think this bothers me? VODAFONE's got my back you wally!! Watch me sign this cheque 'ere with a f**king smile on my face!

Brawn didn't lose his job, I'm talking about the TP who LOST his gig. Just saying with the poor chap apparently sent to Coventry there is one person he would expect to put in a good word in public. I think it's odd
