One driver who went pretty much unnoticed on Sunday was Sebastien Bourdais, brought the car home 13th and drove a steady race despite being passed by Piquet early on.

Bourdais had the edge over Vettel all weekend and has done quite solidly so far this season and I've taken quite a liking to him. Those points he won in Melbourne were well deserved especially after his unlucky engine blowout towards the end. Hope he continues to do well.

Actually, Bourdais was 15th - Hamilton was 13th

But he is doing quite well. Glock didn't get much attention, either, and he finished in 9th.

Bourdais has pleasantly surprised me. Whilst I still think Vettel has more talent and will come good in the end, he is the perfect foil to the young man, picking up some great experience points, and is no doubt good at test driving and car setup.

Four consecutive championship's no matter what serie's it was in is nothing to discredit by no mean's. Newman/Hass was the best team but the driver had ALOT to due with their success. Bourdais imho need's a ride at Ferrari or McLaren which I feel will happen eventually, you heard it here first , and then we will see what he is made of and I expect great result's.

I kind of relate his transformation from one serie's to another like Nigel Mansell's from F1 to CART as Gomer Pile style "surprise surprise surprise" new kid on the block!!

I really like Bourdais, I enjoyed seeing him race for ccws. I hope he eventually gets a better ride in F1. Hopefully Renault gets their crap together and gets faster because I can picture Bourdais racing for Renault.

Level playing field next year, sort of, so they've got a chance to build a cracking car and win another championship. They have one really good driver, they just need for Piquet to pick up his game and become more consistent, or to put Davidson in the other car and give him a chance to shine.
