You all missed the most important bit...

FA said "for sure".

lol
If u saw the post race interview then u would of seen the king of "for sure"
Massa

Cheers mate. Mind you Lewis V Alonso is gonna kick off sometime soon... when the king returns :P haha

I don't think it will, to be honest. I feel that Alonso has had enough of the bad attention and just wants to get on with things at the moment. He needs to focus on taking every point that he can get, because messing about with an ex-team-mate who he doesn't like won't keep him his race seat.
#39009
i thought Alonso did it on purpose but it's clear that ALsono's car is just no where near as good as the Mclaren. There is no benefit to Mclaren in appealing anything so they are going move on and concentrate on the next race

LH showed once again that he is one of the worst drivers in F1 at Bahrain:

Mistake 1: Pressure getting to him so he presses the wrong buttons at the start (can't blame FA for that).

Mistake 2: Hits the back of FA because he had a bad start and tries to forcefully to get past slower cars. The dumb and brute attitude that LH has, made him think that he can overtake any car ahead (remember Japan last year and he still has not learn yet).

Mistake 3: Raises his hand to GF of Force India. Someone ought to explain LH the concept of racing as well as its rules. GF was defending his position, so what was LH problem? The blue flags are only shown to cars that are being lapped.

ITV commentators might like to ignore facts about LH, but there will be plenty of opportunities for them in the future as LH will continue to make them. Ron Dennis once said "Show me a good loser and I show you a loser" well, show me Ron Dennis and LH and I show you losers.

People like you should concentrate on a drivers overall performance and not jump onto a new forum to whinge like a twat over one race and ignore every other performance of said driver!
the only loser is you mate

There is some evidence to back up some of his claims, though. Of his last five races, only one has really been impressive. I think that it may be a combination of an inexperienced team and also the development freeze on the McLaren due to the spying business from last year. That may also account for some of BMW Sauber's gain on them.

I'll make my own judgement at the end of the season, but I'm expecting Heikki to out-perform Lewis this season. If it wasn't for him being unlucky with the safety car in Australia, he'd be leading the WDC at the moment.

I'd like to point out that I do not think Lewis is a bad driver. He is great, but I don't think he is as great as the media would have us believe.

i think u might have gone a little overboard. Mistake 1: every1 has a bad start, Kubica had a bad start aswell. Mistake 2: Lewis hasnt been behind a slower car this year like a renault so he didnt no that his car was that much faster, you can see that he went to turn to criss cross with FA into the next corner.Mistake3: I recall Alonso puting his hand up to Timo Glock when he was defending position.

McLaren inexperienced? did you mean the driver lineup? cos yeah but the rest are not inexperienced.

As for Lewis being s***, you know i didnt hear anyone bag kimi calling him a s*** driver in Australia!
Does everyone realistically expect a driver to drive consistently at every GP? Lewis has had hown many bad races compared to his good ones in his short career?
and these heros saying an F1 driver is s*** or is bad id like to see them do some laps of a Kart let alone an F1 car then we would see who is s*** :|

Yeah, I meant the driver line-up. Should've made that clearer. I know how long McLaren have been around and how successful they are ;)

And I'm not saying Lewis is s***. Nor am I saying any other driver is - I understand that they have good and bad days. All I stated was that so far, his last five races he's had a 1:4 good to bad ratio. So as of yet, he's not showing how good he can be.

i wasnt saying you were giving Lewis s***, just in general whenver a driver has an off day theres calls for his head, look at Massa! where are those people in the media now that he won the last GP?

I agree with that. Hamilton, whilst I think he is clearly very gifted, has some obvious flaws which have been swept under the carpet by the media, especially in Britain. His inexperience has shown at times, as has the fact he can make mistakes like any other driver. (A completely separate issue is his personality, which is and isn't linked to racing. He like to show himself and the media like to show him as some humble little lad, but a few things indicate to me that he will do what it takes to win and can behave inappropriately like others. Some of this was definitely involved in last year's bust-up with Alonso, his possible rant at Ron Dennis - the guy who paid for his career - and his remarks after the Monaco Grand Prix last season, for instance.)

I also feel McLaren have been hindered slightly by being 50 million quid down on what they thought they would be, not allowed to develop several areas of the car, which they had probably done a lot of work on themselves before Ferrari's knowledge came in Coughlan's direction anyway, and Hamilton and Kovalainen don't inspire me with confidence as test drivers (but that will come in time - but probably not in time for the 2008 and 2009 seasons).
#39027
I think Hamilton needed a year as a test and reserve driver if he was to become team leader in his second year. Obviously, noone saw that coming, but I feel McLaren and he would be doing better now had he had that experience under his belt before his rookie year.
#39030
I forgot to mention that although I can't watch the video on You Tube of the brake-testing incident (university network  ), I'm happy enough to accept, based on what has been said by the drivers and the views of some people on this forum (some more partisan than others  ) that my first impressions were wrong and that it was a racing incident, and that perhaps Hamilton was more to blame for whole thing.

Yeah, the fine and development freeze would be hindering. The reason I think that Heikki may outperform Lewis is that, whilst his CV may not have so many championships on it, he does have experience of being a test driver. McLaren may be able to get away with that plus input from De la Rosa and Paffet, but I still think a more experienced driver would have been a better choice.
