Numbers are neither lucky or unlucky. People are either ritualistic and superstitious or not. :D

Wow those Merc boys must be so happy and comfortable. Nico has done a full race sim, and hands it over to Lewis to do his own race sim. I love these guys, both of em

Maybe time to revist a post from before testing started

Despite everything just said in point two, the paddock has been awash with speculation that Mercedes could be the dominant force in Formula One in 2014 (some have gone as far to say they think Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg will walk away with it, turning the title into a straight battle between themselves).

Frankly, no-one really knows where they are, but it would make sense for Mercedes to leave the test in Jerez appearing as frontrunners for the season - they have invested hugely in some of the best technical brains in the sport.

Ooohh big pressure on Merc, probably from those who said last winter the team could not make up a big performance deficit and was over staffed with top engineering brains

The engine sounds might be kind of a putoff for me, but man this car and Nico's helmet - probably a contender for best livery I've seen in F1...Kimi's 2005 McLaren dropping to 2nd place. :cloud9:

Gotta hand it to Nico, that helmet in that car looks the business!
Lewis's turn in the car now. Lovin it! lovin it! Lovin the whole team, the way they all work together, the fairness. To the folk who said Lewis fans would be ripping into Nico before a season was out....NO WAY! Nico is the real deal.

Alonso completes a race stint, the first for Ferrari. Not a race sim though. AMuS confirms the lap times were very consistent.

Red Bull Racing
@redbullracing
We've finished testing for the day. All focus now shifts to Bahrain. Full update to come shortly.

Can't wait for the update. Hope its not some lame story of "silly problems" this time.

Let's hope not. Winners are always pushing for more, no matter what the perceived advantage.

I hear you about winners. I meant those guys are comfortable with eachs ability and relish competition. They know they have a good car and they are happy to fight each other on track.
At last years Mclaren, you would imagine a driver like Button being sneaky and trying to gain petty advantages over the other guy, would probably refuse to hand the car over. Or squeal on the radio 'but guys please let me keep this advantage of more time in the car, please guys'

I dunno last year we never had mclaren telling their driver not to pass his team mate like we saw with nico and Lewis.
But I digress, everything is peachy keen, holding hands and rainbows at Brackley F1.

Are you seriously saying you never heard the team tell Perez to "not race Jenson" at least twice last season......you headed down the wrong road with this. :hehe:
