IMO times mean nothing ATM

True that, but it's still exciting. Bottas just went quickest with Williams, dang.

Yeah holy sh*t they really don't look good. Both the Caterham and Redbull did about 10 laps before quitting.

Something I saw on Reddit
We need to know what sort of engine the recovery truck has, it seems to be very reliable.

Hopefully Red Bull/Renault will get it all sorted out by Oz. I want to see Vettel beaten by the Mercedes and Ferrari drivers, no excuses. In my opinion Lewis, Fernando, Kimi and (maybe) Rosberg are every bit as good as Seb and only having them in relatively equal cars will prove it.

Rosberg's actually on Lap 84 now mate. Going by any seasons standards, this is mighty. If they continue this way for the next 2 days, Bahrain will be all about performance.

Day 2:

1. Button, McLaren, 1:24.165, 43 laps; 2. Raikkonen, Ferrari, 1:24.812, 45 laps; 3. Bottas, Williams, 1:25.344; 35 laps; 4. Rosberg, Mercedes, 1:25.588, 97 laps; 5. Perez, Force India, 1:28.376, 37 laps; 6. Gutierrez, Sauber, 1:33.270, 53 laps; 7. Ericsson, Caterham, 1:37.975, 11 laps; 8. Vettel, Red Bull, 1:38.320, 8 laps; Toro Rosso haven't completed a lap.

With Merc one just has to look back at last years practice sessions to see what importance they place on long runs vs sheer speed. Reliability is the holy grail here and the Merc is starting to look like 2014 is just another new season
