Second red flag now. Perez stopped out on track.

.... who said reliability was going to be all important this year?

Ferrari managed 5 corners then stopped, which was five corners more than the Merc - which died halfway out the garage :hehe:

A faulty anti stall system, big deal. They managed 40km before this without a blip.

At least the Ferrari v6 managed to start. :hehe:

Not a great start for the new engines, but as you say at least both got started :hehe:

So far Merc powered cars look to have done the most mileage, maybe completing a full lap between them :hehe:

Ferrari next, with Kimi doing a few corners

Renault? Nada

Newey is saying there's a little 'overnight' issue.

yeah, like the under budget Renault engine doesnt work :hehe:

Even if in the race, all competitors stop on track, the winner would have to be the guy with most mileage at that time

so Merc are already kicking backside

Lewis made 4 installation laps, no time. Force India's made 1 so far.

Renault might be figuring out how to start their machines.

Well, right now Merc have double the stops of Ferrari and Renault have proven the most reliable - largely due to their tactic of not running :hehe:

 Sneaky but effective tactics from Renault

Well, if they extend this tactic to races, they will be able to say no other team passed them on track

According to RC, Newey's been quoted that they have a small 'overnight' issue.

Adrian Newey: "we discovered a silly setup problem overnight"

Renault are clearly in trouble and the rumours are not new. Going back to talk of them having a much much smaller budget than Ferrari and Merc on the engine. Also they are in it as a seller of engines, there is not real incentive to over spend for bragging rights like the other 2.
And we have Newey constantly reminding us of the Renault budget and that RBR stand to lose most.

Lotus - not even there, RBR - admitted 'small' problem, Caterham - Also have a reason for not running, TR - not done anything.

All in all looks like Renault are just not ready and wont admit it, probably their teams could have sat at home and saved the plane fare

Perez grinds to a hault after a few corners, another red flag. The first failure of a Merc car. So far Reanult have been 100% reliable, with zero running but 0 failures :hehe:
