I'll bet you have never even watched one race with him in it or know his record or story. Try YouTube, you might suddenly become a Lewis follower

She's a truebred Tifosi mate....Lewis has never driven for Ferrari. If you get hired by Ferrari next week, she'll start supporting you.

It's amazing how the tifosi can know so much about nothing and so little about the rest of F1

Boys, seemings as this is a Ferrari thread, and remembering that our rules state that we should respect our fellow members and not be insulting, do you think you could tone down your Tifosi/Ferrari obloquy so we mods have nothing to do but enjoy paticipating in threads and get rid of spammer

Again, where did I say anything wrong in my quote? I was being no way condescending or insulting, it is the truth isn't it? You Tifosi do state over and over and over again that anyone who drives for Ferrari will have your support? I was being genuine and I assume if Cookinflat does indeed drive for Ferrari he will have your support, what's wrong with saying that? It's a fact. Lewis has never driven for Ferrari thus sagi wouldn't support him no matter what sort of driving style he has. Do correct me if my thinking is warped in this regard.

What is wrong with your post is that it is a generalization. I know many Tifosi who would be more than happy to have Lewis, or Seb, or any driver that would earn them wins for their team. Lumping all Tifosi together as being of one mind, is no better than saying all Man U fans are hooligans. Myself I cheer for drivers, not teams, so I would be more than happy to see Lewis, Kimi, Nico or Fernando on any team that gives them the chance to win. Even Red Bull.

Couple of new team members recently added by Ferrari. Florian Puget, ERS Hybrid Systems Engineer (former KERS Hybrid Systems Enginner), from Mercedes HPP (end of last year) and Evangelos Arvanitakis, an aerodynamicist also from Mercedes.

Early days of course but at this stage we'd like to thank @InsideFerrari for all their support with our new powertrain #GreatPartners

Good news that Marussia has the Ferrari power train running in their car and they are also confirmed to be at the Jerez testing. Ferrari definitely needs as many hours as possible on their new donk

Would be interesting if FIAT have to flog off Ferrari to fund a troubled Chrysler soon. That shows good faith from Ferrari seeing as Fiat nearly flogged the company recently. I would have prefered the F166 Turbo

It's old news that Fiat have long completed the purchase of Chrysler and have done very well out of it.

I'm sure Ferrari will be devastated that you don't like the name.

Hey I know the Chrysler deal is going well and I am happy the name was chosen by majority of Tifosi

I just think its too much pandering to Fiat when Fiat should be pandering to Ferrari. The Ferrari brand is bigger than Fiat (brand not sales) in racing. I dont want to be reminded ferrari are owned by the maker of the old Fiat 500

Random notion. Did Grumman assign the F number. I always though the number was assigned by NATO. Ie F for fighter, B for bomber, H for helicopter etc

Isn't Ferrari the only profitable arm of Fiat that isn't the 500 brand cars? I remember reading that somewhere.

Oh what a shame they picked FIAT instead of F166Turbo. The latter sounds so much more the real deal! So much more 'don't mess with me!' Than FIAT. But the fans picked it and if that's what they want so be it. I think it's nice that Ferrari let the fans decide.

It was good they let the fans decide, thumbs up to Ferrari for that. It was a very close thing between the F14-T and the F166 Turbo. Here are the actual votes:-
Name Votes %
F14 T 369.711 32,9%
F166 Turbo 350.607 31,2%
F14 Scuderia 211.263 18,8%
F14 Maranello 138.220 12,3%
F616 53.940 4,8%
Total 1.123.741 100,00%

For me, T when used by the team stood for Transversale. But then again, there were quite a few "traditionalists" that opposed the F166 Turbo have a name in it, ie Turbo. Personally I think the newer fans liked that so I thought that was good.

My last thought, I liked the F166 Turbo cause it meant 16 wins with the 6 cylinder engine. I'll just have to settle for 14 wins with F14-T :D
