That would be a real farce. 2 drivers have fought a hard battle over the season, one is ahead by 49 points, leading the last race to the rival in second.

It's a stupid rule regardless of who takes the win.

makes a mockery of the series and of the hard work the teams and drivers put in. It trivialises it. And if Lewis was 49 points behind and benefitted form that rule and won the championship then I'd still think if was stupid, and I reckon Lewis would to.............whilst claiming the trophy and the honours with both hands of course.

Any driver taking the title in that scenario would be slightly embarrased and the title itself would always be downgraded in posterity. A bit like the DD WDC or the Fan car. It would ofcourse be even worse for a driver who won only 1 WDC in that manner. Less so for proven WDC's

Isn't it awesome....how pretty much every thread eventually evolves into a Lewis Hamilton thread before the end of Pg.2. Even people who dislike him seem to contribute heavily to this factor.
