And i think theres a little blidness or forgetfullness going on regarding the points lewis lost that year due to team incompetence and unreliability

Some people were too busy trying to look at Alonso's progress while Lewis was leading 3 races that season and his car malfunctioned. This missed detail cost potentially 75 points for Lewis not counting the pit stop shenanigans, but in the end Button was only 2 points behind so Button's a great driver. :hehe:

If Jenson has another mid 2012 .... my rookie teammate has overtaking me again

Firstly that's very harsh on Lewis. In 2012 as a WDC (and +5yrs in F1) I wouldn't be calling him a rookie.

If I meant Lewis I would have said 'my young teammate lapped me again'

I don't remember him lapping him once let alone "again"

during the 2012 season Lewis lapped Jenson in normal conditions with both cars having no mechanical failure. I cant remember which race, but I remember someone mentioned that it was possibly the first time in F1 history that a WDC driver had been lapped by a teammate in normal conditions, with both cars suffering no mechanical or racing issues.

even Seb didnt manage to lap Webber once under normal conditions

It was Canada 2012. :) I'm surprised you could forget this race....Jenson was wailing on the radio about not having grip while Lewis was leading the field....while Alonso and Vettel switched to a two stopper to try and jump Lewis, and Lewis sticking to a three stopper simply overtook them back to win the race in style. :drink:

What an astound feat of driving skills and sheer speed. To be so much faster that you LAP a driver in identical equipment. Out on track when the team couldnt interfere was where Lewis showed the difference between the 2 :drink::drink:

Yeah its just lovely. This thread has been locked 2 times now from just endless "Button is a slow duck and he ate my firstborn" comments. It's just an never ending circular Hamilton circle jerk from the same few people, instantly quashing any discussions unless it's about ducks.

They are still pissed that Button was able to beat him in 2011. If Button is that bad, what does it say about Hamilton that he was outpointed over 3 years in an equal car. :hehe:

I do try from time to time, but I've given up; I know exactly what will be in this thread and I now just started ignoring it when it pops back up to the most recent threads, only checking it very rarely to see if any real conversations have started.

EDIT: I searched "Jenson Button" in this thread and it came up with 570 results. I searched "Lewis Hamilton" and it told me that the phrase was too common to search....
