Can't wait to see the new Merc. 28th of Jan, first day of the Jerez test is when it will be unveiled.

Looking good, low key launch and straight down to testing
Rumour on F1technical that the engine is developing 700 bhp before the ERS
Surely that cannot be physically possible. Soon find out, how exciting

From Autosport
SINGLE TEAM DOMINATION
The F1 gossip machine is already hinting that Mercedes will be the team to beat, with the paddock grapevine suggesting it is pretty upbeat about its 2014 design performance compared to rival outfits.
If that is the case, and some of the other front runners are having trouble, then F1 could end up with single team domination again - something few fans want to see after the less than thrilling end to 2013.

Here's to the possible/probable 2014 World Championship winning machine. :cloud9:

Oh and a little social media tidbit (since it's such a hot topic right now...) :hehe:

Official Mercedes F1 "Professional racing team" fbook page: 2,018,318 likes (despite not winning jack sh*t so far)

Official Redbull Racing F1 "Professional racing team" fbook page: 2,035,988 likes

Official McLaren F1 "Professional racing team" fbook page: 1,073,837 likes

Official Ferrari F1 "Professional racing team" fbook page: 956,350 likes

Not a bad investment for Merc to enter the sport as a works team eh. I wonder how many 'likes' they had before Lewis joined the team though. :scratchchin:

Apparently non of that matters or is indicative of anything (it's just a big coincidence that the advertising world uses social media metrics to charge for exposure). Likes hits and followers are not scientific apparently and are just statistical manipulation. Got that?

Ultimately likes or hits don't matter to a car company, what matters is increasing car sales

Er hold on ..... apparently that doesn't matter either

Merc made a big mistake hiring Lewis

McLaren had Lewis, and I guess there's a significant number of them who forgot to 'unlike' the team. :groucho:

Why should that surprise you? McLaren are a popular team, and Ferrari have done little better than them over recent seasons.

Well the surprise was more that both McLaren AND Ferrari were So much lower than Merc! Shouldn't have been surprised really :P
There really wasn't a huge amout to chose between McLaren and Ferrari . I'd have guessed that as a team Ferrrari would have been out in front of them all, just goes to show what a talented Charismatic driver can do for a teams popularity.

Also apart from tifosi I doubt many fans will have been clicking on the Ferrari like button while the revelations about special vetos, unlimited testing, secret 2014 engine track tests, rants about simulators, over spending with under results are all going on
People click on like when a team makes good

Schumi might still have an effect on the Mercedes numbers, he did (and still does)have quite a significant following.

I wonder if any of Schumies significant following amongst the tifosi clicked the Mercedes like button
