Q2. Waved yellows, Massa keeps his foot down, no penalty. Someone should explain to Villnerve why FIAt are allowed to get away with it but no one else.
Its not a rule open to interpretation as far as I know. Massa should have gone again or dropped out of the top ten.
This is not another conspiracy theory, but how long can this stuff go on for? Sick of it and even FIAt must get embarresed

the way i see it, the flags neednt be waved

but a team cant decide that, its makes a mockery

the fact that massa didnt go out again suggests ferrari already knew no penalty

as brundle said, it does make a differece as to could he see the flag before the corner, but the team shouldve been on the radio

set a bad precident

There was no other time in q2 to compare his time with, so who's to say he did NOT lift just a tiny bit (which is all that is required - there's no absolute speed prescribed).

Thats the weakest argument I've ever seen, shame on you.

no, i think its a good argument, but it is a technicality, he was still going for it

Yeah sorry, if it's FIAt it's a technicality, anyone else its a breach of the rules.

Cannot comment as I did not see the incident and I have not seen any headlines about it on any of the major F1 sites.

But just like your footer I would say this smells like more of this:

It was the end of Q1,

the guy waving the yellow flag was standing behind the wall just before the pit lane:

and when Massa went past there was another guy standing right next to the yellow flag waving guy waving a green flag

Oh grow up. Massa couldn't possibly have seen the yellow until after the final turn since it was only waving in a partially obstructed place after the exit. The danger was well off to the other side of the track and Massa was on a straight. It's not a big deal.

Errm.... that's exactly what I was trying to show. which is why I also show that there's actually a green flag waving at the time Massa passed it.

What Bulls**t. its a clear infraction, or do we now allow teams and drivers to interpret the rules themselves. "Sorry Guv, just did'nt seeit". Anyone could see the damn flags they where waving like a carnival. From what I watched Massa and his team did not even seem to ask the question, they sat in the pits with a "job done" look about them. Waved yellows should not be ignored at any time for any reason. "I did'nt see it" is no excuse.

I agree, the team should of been on the radio. Rules are rules even if its a little thing, if you dont obey it then whats the point of flags just let the cars crash.
