I am sure what sagi is saying is that what happened to MSC it has highlighted the fact that wearing a helmet has saved his life.

Well said Bud.

i think the haters are still reeling from having a go about the song Lewis released...except he didnt. so now its his skiing they start on.

Helmet wearing is a personal decision but downhill skiers today would be stupid not to. Cross country, lang lauf, snow hiking are different, its endurance not speed.Lewis was wearing cross country skis (they're thinner) and snow boots. And what if he had been wearing downhill skis? What if he'd stopped and taken his helmet off? its his life, his decision.
Im sad about Schumacher and desperately want good news, but im going skiing in two weeks. I'm sure i'll have Michael in my thoughts some of the time, but I'll still enjoy my skiing and the safety measures i take will be my decision.

And of course in that side by side picture, Michael in his red overalls is down hill skiing without a helmet. See, I don't think the beef is with the timing since your original post and subsequent discussion revolved around skiing without a helmet and only when everything else was debunked was the timing an issue.

Maybe that's so, but it's only an issue for anyone that wants to make it an issue in the first place. I think I was clear that my condemnation was about the article and not your post, our discussion was about the helmet not the timing.

I will repeat, I posted that only because I find it odd. Odd that anyone cares what anyone else does in their spare time.
Odd that there was such a "backlash" that Hamilton posted those pictures/wasn't wearing his helmet. And, to blame
"""only""" Ferrari fans is much too simplistic a condemnation. I'm a Tifosa and I could care less what Hamilton does,
when, where, how, why and with whom, so that debunks that particular theory of """all""" Ferrari fans!!

And, NO, the world should NOT stop because Schumi had an accident, in fact, I absolutely LOVE snow, in spite of the
mess and havoc it wreaks when temperatures drop, as they have over the weekend. I think ALL winter sports are
amazing and anyone who partakes should be applauded for braving the elements.

And, since I'm not looking for any kind of conspiracy to make Hamilton look bad, I still believe it was simply a matter
of "bad timing".

By the way, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that those who aren't impressed that he's skiing without
a helment MIGHT be people who have personally had to deal with the aftermath of an accident/blow to the head.

Just a thought, y'know?

I would suggest that those people who weren't impressed, 'weren't impressed' because it was Lewis Hamilton.
I wasn't impressed that the article referred to Nicholas Hamilton as '.....his disabled brother' . Now that's what I'd say is bad taste! 'His brother' would have sufficed!

Isn't disabled a bad word to use anyway?

Not when they're talking about DRS.

This really annoys me for some reason, curse you north America; saying you could care less means you at least care a little bit which is the exact opposite of what you're trying to say! :banghead:

I am sure the haters are upset with Lewis being on holiday full stop at a time like this. With Ferrari holding mass, uniform wearing, flag waving rallies everyone should feel guilty about something

Like MS would give a toss that anyone was skiing even faster than he was and not wearing a helmet. I bet when he recovers he will be back out skiing as fast as he can, if he can get past the tifosi outside his hospital

Really? What mass? Didn't realize wearing red was a uniform!
Just because some people have a problem with what Hamilton
was doing does NOT mean you need to defend him by offending
others. Totally gratuitous and unnecessary, to be honest! :P
