One has to be careful when the reports are not directly from the doctors.

A) you get 10 points and an "advance token to Mayfair" card for giving that so-and-so the kick up the bum he so richly deserved.

B) I officially excommunicate @joeferrarijoe for daring to have a go at you over A) - I'd like to think he wasn't real

But it is not Ferrari instigating the vigil. So it is the fans boosting the PR. No different to 50 Man United fans saying let's all go to this pub to watch the match with our Man U shirts on

Sent using NCC-1701

Ferrari did instigate it, they even laid on busses for the fans.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing what they did, but I just feel the way they went around it was a bit self promoting is all.

P.S. I'm not sure what derogatory term I made that was insulting, I apologise if I insulted anyone.

I'm betting that Ferrari didn't start making plans for anything until after it became apparent that Mercedes wasn't going to mark the occasion.
Besides, Ferrari was the team Schumi was with the longest and was the most successful with, so it really does fall upon them to do something!

p.s. edit your original message and you'll be able to read what word was deemed to be offensive by the "editor-in-chief"!!

Looks like you're not the only one who is being cautious:

 wrote:">Schumacher 'still critical' ...
...Doctors treating the German superstar have not issued any official update on his condition since New Year's Eve, but his manager Sabine Kehm said via email on Friday that he remained in a stable, but still critical, condition.

Kehm's email statement came in response to reporter's questions about comments from former F1 driver Philippe Sttreiff, who said on Friday that a mutual friend of his and Schumacher's, Dr Gerard Saillant, claimed that "Michael's life is not in danger any more."

The medical team have been careful to remind fans around the world that Schumacher's life is still at risk, though one of the doctors did add during a press conference earlier in the week that continued stability is a positive step even if there are as yet no other signs of improvement.

Dumb question of the day:

Is "off-piste" like cross-country skiing?

Not really. "Off-piste" refers to ski in areas of a resort that are not marked and/or groomed trails. These areas are often unpatrolled and are "ski at own risk". This is much more common in Europe and western NA, where the mountains are taller and more extensive.

So... cross-country trails are groomed and patrolled, here in Ontario?

How many dumb questions of the day do you get? Off piste is off the trail, meaning not on the main slopes, so you're skiing through trees, rocks and through nature.
