What is it with all the drivers now using this phrase “For Sure” it is used amongst a lot of the drivers which English isn't their first language but now even Lewis Hamilton is saying it!

I noticed it first with FM while he was driving along side of MS - he's been using it in every other sentence for sure :P Ticked me off, but oh well. Still better than like Valley girl speak, like when I want to say like something, know what I mean, like just regular stuff is filled like with meaningless words like 'like':roll::roll:

And don't get me started on Ron speak :roll:

Even ex drivers like Piquet senior said "for sure" in the ITV buildup to Malaysia when they did a feature on Piquet Jr, I'm surprised Patrese didn't say "for sure" when Louise was interviewing him.

They mustn't teach adverbs especially well at all these English-medium schools Rosberg and Piquet have been sent to. The constant use of "for sure" is powerfully annoying and makes the drivers seem even more robotic than what they are already are. This is where Formula One (and sport overall) is missing Ayrton Senna. When I watch most drivers giving interviews nowadays a sleepy feeling just comes over me a lot of the time. A constant reminder of how Formula One has not been the same since 1st May 1994.

Will Bruno be any of the same "for sure"? Or will he speak more like Ayrton? Speaking of Bruno how is he getting on in GP2, just about every F1 fan would love to see the "Senna" name return to F1.

I thought Barrichello used to say it the most, but it sounded quite funny when he said it in his part Brazillian, part fake Irish/American accent. And also because he looks like somebody from "Friends".

Have you seen that wierd French film called "The lost children". Good film but wierd as French films often are. In it there is an actor who looks JUST like Barichelo!!

an eloquent racing driver seems to be a rare thing these days. I have never heard Antony Davidson with that phrase and seems to me to be the only driver capable of holding a decent interview.

Yeah. Shame we don't get to see that much of him. :(

Heikki is alright in interviews, as are Jenson, Nick and Timo, but most of the others tend to bore/annoy me.
