Sam I would love to send a donation, but I'm gettin myself through school right now and I'm payin off my car. But that aside, good luck this year and I hope you do well in your races and find a business that will sponsor you. Read Ayrton Senna's biography, it's real motivational.

2nd round of the Scottish Championships this weekend.

I'm feeling very confident about this one. I know that this is my home track and I have the experience to win it..

I'll write a report about how testing went tomorrow and hopefully get a few pictures too :)

Good luck mate, you have my support and I'm confident you will be triumphant again. :)

Hey Guys.

I was testing for the 2nd round of the Scottish championships at my home track, Crail today.

I was consistently .5/1 second ahead of the field on very old rubber so I'm in a positive mood about tomorrow.

Although it's not all good as I will be closely followed by the officials tomorrow, as an official complaint was lodged against me today about my driving standards. This was the guy I was involved in a collision with in the first round so I know that he really will be out to get me tomorrow.

What happened for him to lodge a complaint? Not that much.

I closed a gap of about 4 seconds and was simply tailing him to see where he was fast and where I could get by. So we're going to one of the fastest parts of the track and when we reached the acceleration zone he breaked and pointed to the side (basicly saying go through) but I was too close to him and he did it at the wrong point so I ran into the back of him and he went off. When I came in his father was shouting at me which was quite amusing, calling me "a dirty b*stard" so I know I have a point to prove tomorrow.

Stick it to that guy Sam! It sound's like he is a crybaby because now he has some real competition and cannot deal with. I hope to see a pic of you on the podium holding the winner's trophy!! Good luck mate we are all pulling for you.

Drive it like you stole it,
Gregg

PS,
Why wasn't he questioned as too why he was breaking in the acceleration zone??? Sound's like he's a dirty driver and basically set you up!

He was not questioned because he tried to slow down to let me pass (because I had been tailing him and now no where he is very vunerable  ) But he did it wrong and as a result he landed in the tyres.

But he did it wrong and as a result he landed in the tyres.

That's what I'm saying he did it wrong. What I meant was in an acceleation zone you should not break maybe lift alittle but not break, just move over and give the signal for the pass.

Anyway you broke him mentally I'm sure so stomp his arse!

This is the most gutted I have probably ever felt after a race meeting.

Qualifying: Chain came off with a few minutes remaining but still put the kart on Pole.

Heat 1: Lights to flag

Heat 2: Got the jump from second and won easily

Pre-Final: Lights to flag

Final: I was off pole, I took an easily lead but was then deemed a false start. Next time round the lights didnt change to green.. So I backed off but everyone continued racing and was in 2nd at the first corner. The man in front of me was the guy who lodged the appeal yesterday. He was blocking all over the track, I was a full second a lap slower behind him.. I went for it around the outside with about 8 laps to go (I was getting desperate to pass, others were gaining on me) He slid and came across on me, leaving me no where to go.. I ran onto the dirt and into the tyres.. I rejoined in last and was gaining on the others when my wiring loom split ending my race.

I am now 3 points behind in the championship.. And I really need a win at the next round to even be in with a shout of the title

That's just racing Sam so dont dwell on it, the past is the past, the future and next race is the focus. It sound's like you made no driver error's which is the most important factor.

I cannot wait for the next race now.

I know that I cannot afford to let him ahead of me at all because this has happened twice now and I assure you that it won't happen again :)
