RaceChick, can you explain the total destruction on Button on a site of yours? Cookin, you are just mad at McLaren, let it go

If you stopped avoiding questions and tried to address the points of others instead of just moan, complain and criticise, you might discover what forums are for

Let's start with a simple one. Why do YOU think Whitmarsh called Button PEERLESS at feedback and development after the recent disasters?

Try commenting on F1 and not other members

If you remember the Quote perfectly well then why are you not applying it to Lewis and only to Jenson? You and your buddies here have used that quote all year and you have used it incorrectly, why do you have to lower any one else to make you higher?
I love F1, I dont care if Lewis has a dog, Nicole is just a person. I want my driver to drive but JB gets a pass for this year he is old. I bet everyone of the guys here would want JB's money and the chance to drive a F1 car.

I have seen so many people bullied off this forum, all of them were not Lewis Hamiton fans.

I don't apply it to Lewis as well because, as I explained in my post, I measure it along with subsequent behaviour by Whitmarsh.

Whether Whitmarsh favoured button because he was his first signing, or because he fancied him, or for some other reason I care not a jot. But I do care that the faster driver, my favourite, was sidelined by Whitmarsh for button. And I will continue to call them out on it. It's pretty much out there now anyway, not just us loonie fringe elements saying it anymore.

NO ONE GETS BULLIED OFF THIS FORUM!! Once again I resent your implications. People get warned and banned for attacking other people on this forum, not for the views they hold regarding teams and drivers!

FYI I don't think Whitmarsh is gay, what's it matter if he is anyway? The ' disturbingly good looking' is a convenient phrase to hang his favouritising on.

It's not my site. I can only answer for myself regarding button, and I think I've done so times over.

Hope you don't mind, if I jump in?

First of all, I don't remember "exactly" when he said it; but, would imagine it was long before the season fell apart for McLaren.
Regardless, what does it matter why he said it? He said it, so what? If that's what he believes, let him! What's the big deal?
#385377
First if all it was said after the 2013 season ended.

Second, what's the point of responding just to say you don't see the point of responding?

Either address the question or ignore it.

Anyone can see button is no good at feedback or development, anyone knows Alonso is good at this, everyone knows McLaren are after Alonso

I say it shows Whitmarshes unprofessional and unhealthy bias for Button that continues to ruin the team

Either you got an opinion or you don't. No point just telling us it could mean anything so let's forget it

I understand fanaticism, go do it, I do not understand undermining others and their beliefs. Racechick, seems you had your total nasty views handed to you

Just spotted this little gem. I'm not sure what you mean by ' I had my total nasty views handed to ' me.

A. I don't think my views are totally nasty.
B. If you know ANYTHING about me , it's that I make my own mind up about things and am prepared to argue my point, in the face ofopposition.

You don't know me, so don't make personal comments about me.

Ok here's a question for those who don't find Whitmarshs calling his driver disturbingly goodlooking has no sexual context

A 5 year old child, male or female is said to be attractive, cute, goodlooking. Would the local priest calling the same kid disturbingly goodlooking be deemed innocent? Or the kids nanny? Or the kids choir boss?
Would not the disturbing adjective be deemed inappropriate?

I remember the "disturbingly good looking" interview. I took it as a tongue in cheek. He also called Lewis and Jenson but that seems to have been forgotten by the evil spin crowd

"People will always try to be cynical in this sport. But when Jenson won the last race Lewis went up to him spontaneously and hugged him. No amount of spin or PR from us is going to create that. We are in the unusual position of having two of the best drivers in the world, who are both young, disturbingly good-looking chaps with star quality."

Calling employees disturbingly goodlooking is borderline creepy and could be explained if said in total isolation.

When the same boss cries over 1 driver only out of 4, it becomes even less prfessional

When the same boss promises to kiss the driver 'not just on the cheeks, but inbetween' it moves from naive to truly alarming

When the same boss insists that the driver is PEERLESS at setup feedback and development despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary then it becomes plain incompetence

When we take all these things together to build a context, including wasting Hamilton at the expense of the same driver there is only one conclusion

Whitmarsh is a 'wrong-un' full stop and should not be in charge of a team or boys choir etc as his personal bias and preferences act to the detriment of the organisation. It does not matter who he likes, it should not ruin teams

:hehe:

If I was Max Chilton's boss, I would be promising FAR more than a kiss

That would be totally unprofessional Lew, and you know it. How you feel about one particular employee, male or female, primate or other, should not affect how you reward or manage their contributions to the team. Especially if at the detriment of another

and the location of the cheeks in question makes no difference :yikes:

He said they where both disturbingly good looking so how is that one particular employee

He mentions both drivers are 'disturbing' then he spends his time gushing over one of them, the less talented one. He ruins the team to make one driver happy. The fact he finds drivers 'hot' gives us the clue. Its the finding any employee 'disturbing' thats unprofessional, because it means he is susceptible to letting his 'hots' distort his judgement, which is exactly what happened. If he had ended up being 'hotter' for Lewis and wrapping the whole team around him, would have worked better but would still be unprofessional and wrong.

disturbing
Troubling to the mind or emotions:

disquieting, disruptive, distressful, distressing, intrusive, perturbing, troublesome, troublous, unsettling, upsetting, worrisome. See happy, pain

The 'disturbing' comment alone...odd.."Has Whitmarsh been on the wacky bacci?"
Then most likely forgotten into the annals of history.

The 'disturbing' comment and the subsequent behaviour...disturbing. " Hello, what's going on here then?"
And it's not forgotten. It's remembered each time another bizzare action, comment, look, gush occurs as McLaren are dragged down.
