He mentioned Lewis and Alonso as the only credible challengers, but he had to otherwise look like a complete ****. However he is old enough to know how the press feed off Lewis news and twist things and he gave them what the sort of cheap tittilation they earn money off.

The guy was a lame number 2 who couldnt even win the WDC in the best car against MS with a broken leg. These guys just try and make themselves in the news by jumping on the generalisation bandwagon, why didnt he say Kimi had lost it when he left F1 and tell us how his drinking doesnt help his driving

Jackass had to wait till years after Sennas death to try make out he wasnt crapping his pants when Senna came looking for him for being a twat on the track

But we ain't saying it all over the world, were sayin it on our little forum. Differences. Differences.

I just look back to 12 months ago when nearly everyone was questioning Lewis' mind by choosing to leave McLaren (fastest car at the time) to join Mercedes who had just finished a distant 5th. The one person who knew what he was doing was Lewis, similar to Schumacher (when he went to Ferrari) he left McLaren to rebuild Mercedes into championship winners (although it probably isnt probably as much as a rebuild as Ferrari needed), and like Schumacher he took a key person with him in Paddy Lowe.

I personally believe that if, as we are led to believe Mercedes have the dominant car he only has to beat Rosberg, and while that will be tough, Lewis has more experience at championship battles, and has the experience of winning and narrowly losing championships.

The only weakness for me is that Mercedes have lost Ross Brawn, but they still have more than enough know-how to win the championship.

Fully agree :clap::thumbup:

Last time I checked you're on the other side of the world to me. :hehe:

Regardless, you can't have a whinge about what someone's saying about your fave driver when you say far worse about f1 folk.

Can't I? I just did.
If you can't see the difference between me passing an opinion on a forum and the likes of Irvine broadcasting his criticisms in the press, then it's not worth pursuing the conversation with you.

I wouldnt say Ferrari had the best car in 99, they had the most reliable. In a normal race that McLaren were reliable they were quicker than Ferrari. Only in 2 races were Ferrari faster on raw pace, Monaco when Schumacher walked the race and Malaysia when they brought the controversial barge boards.

The other Ferrari wins were helped by unreliability/mistakes from McLaren

Australia - Both McLarens broke down after comfortably being 1-2.
San Marino - Hakkinen was cruising to victory when he crashed, and it took all of Schumacher's brilliance to beat Coulthard to the win.
Austria - Hakkinen punted out by Coulthard on Lap 1, considering how close he was to the top 2 at the end after coming from last I believe he would have won if he hadnt been hit. Irvine and Coulthard were closely matched but Ferrari had the better strategy. In qualifying they were 1 second faster!
Germany - Hakkinen was comfortable until the dodgy pitstop and then the blowout/rear wing failure. Coulthard had a poor race, either running into people or cutting chicanes to overtake.

Others will disagree, but I believe McLaren threw the Constructors championship away in 99, rather than Ferrari winning it. Ferrari were reliable and Irvine consistent, but they didnt have the fastest car. Lets remember that Hakkinen threw away 20 points while winning comfortably at San Marino and Italy!

McLaren have thrown LOADS of championships away. It was painful to watch. I'm glad I have some respite from that!

Ferrari had the best car because it was fast and reliable, there is no doubt Ms would have won. McLaren built fast cars that broke down, cost them dearly right up to 2005 despite Mikas success which came on the back of Merc sorting the engine

I remember when I said Lewis wasn't very bright a couple of years ago, I got smaaaaaashed on this forum. So I agree with bud.

Anyways, during the off season I'm more into cricket and soccer. So thankfully I have better things to do than write opinions about drivers. :)

Why does that not surprise me.

You don't really come across as a young Einstein tbf, anyone can write a one line opinion, very few can actually provide a case or facts or any argument.
Anyone can look at F1, only a few can see things themselves, I would rather listen to the opinion of a couple of bright internet forumers than a halfwit former F1 driver with an axe to grind about a great

It's okay to have that opinion. I'm sure you questioned yourself and perhaps reassessed that opinion after his decision to leave McLaren last year and his subsequent results this year with Mercedes.

People are getting upset that an ex driver said a current drivers too rock star, yet the same people call a driver homosexual with his team principle.

Regardless of what people say, I know that current driver is not a homosexual, the TP does have a strong attraction to the bromance. :hehe:

And... what's wrong with that? What's wrong with admiring someone of the same umpalumpa?
Women do it all the time. We're also very catty about other women we don't like. So...
Why should we make any sort of assumptions? Why should we ridicule that "attraction"?

Just askin'!! :D
