Alonso is obviously a good driver but he is in F1 for the money he proved it by signing to McL last year. He did not deserve any of his championship, he is a disgrace to F1. I hope he never joins Ferrari he does not deserve such an honor.

he got puished for the pit block, and hamilton disobeyed team orders also around that incident

he wanted to leave, and in the end the team also thought it best

he is an amazig driver/strategist who has a temper, given, but he is a brilliant driver

What are you talking about? Alonso signed to McLaren because he was a McLaren fan as a child. He did deserve his championships and is far from a disgrace - there are far worse people in F1, Fernando has done little if anything to deserve the treatment he gets.

Fernando did deserve his WDC's but his demeanor last season has tarnished his reputation in quite a few aspect's that's why he deserve's the treatment he get's. There are still people who believe in fair and ethical sportsmanship and that's what Fernando showed he lack's.

His skill is unquestionable but beyond that everything about him is in question for the forseeable future.

This is only my personal outlook .

Wherever Alonso goes, he'll cause problems. He is the ultimate egocentrist, a man endowed with talent but without the moral fibre, character or temperament to back it up. He is a liability on wheels.

What I see is what I base what I say...Alonso was champion in 2005 not because of his skills but because of new regulations that aimed to stop Ferrari's dominance. Also Alonso was champion in 2005 because Kimi and Montoya were fighting each other as well as the McL reliability.

In 2006 Alonso was champion because of good maniplation of situations like Monaco that aimed to find something to stop Ferrari and Sch from getting another Ch.

For me Alonso is the worst sportsman since the beggining of 2005..and not because of last years bullsh...

He deserves nothing...too but he knows how to drive.

so the renault was a better car than the mclaren in 05, it was more reliable,

aloso also had to fight with the mclarens, and won often, so that made him an at least equal (but better lol) driver

Look for yourself...get the official review (DVD) of F! for 05-06 and then try to laugh.

I am not saying that Alonso is not a good driver...but unfortunately it was not his driving that made him champion

To claim superiority you need to have more than just 2 years of success. Where is the superiority in 07-08.

I think it was pure luck of competition...way far than superior car/driver

you cant be lucky for a whoke 2 seasons, the budget difference makes it all the more impressive

where renault are now fits in if you look at relative budget
