I see him as a lovable playful puppy, I can see why he chose puppy.
Though I do see what you mean by the shape of his head.

Here's my dumb question of the day: Do the teams "really" have any say in how the rules get changed?

Yes.

Err, well. Some of them. There are representatives from six teams (Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull Racing, Mercedes, Williams and Lotus (currently - this could change if one of the other four teams finishes higher in the championship next year)) in the Strategy Group, as well as a representative each from the FIA and CVC (both of which have six votes).

Thank you!! :wavey:

Surprise! Shock! Horror! I actually like the double points rule... Even though it would mean that Vettel wouldn't have won last year had the double points system come in earlier....

But I also think Monaco, Silverstone, and perhaps Spa should count as double points...

 I don't know about that!! I mean, if they start differentiating between races,
how long will it be before teams/drivers approach some races with a differently?

Its interesting to note that with this double points change in the rules, there would only have been 3 changes to the WDC this century

Each change would have ended up with a Ferrari winning instead of RBR or Mclaren

So when the FIA and teams sat down to work out this historical revisionism its possible 1 team wanted it the most.

Do Ferrari also have a reverse veto? Can they veto the rejection of a rule by the others?

Well I am sure any reasonable observer would find that a perfectly valid question in light of the context and recent confirmations of other 'special' status and 'extra help' Ferrari have

The Strategy Group consists of 18 members, 6 from FIA, 6 from FOM and six team representatives, which in turn are completely useless, because 10 votes are enough to wave through a plan. Even if not all of FIA and FOM’s people agree, they can still outvote the teams. Marko however hints that Mercedes and Ferrari actually voted yes on this piece of mental diarrhea, while Christian Horner and logically the three other representatives (Mclaren, Williams, Lotus) voted against. Why Ferrari and Mercedes think that a fourth place at Abu Dhabi should be worth just one single point less than a win at Monaco eludes my imagination.

So Cookin' Merc is also responsible for this... yay.... 8-)

The original source is Dr. Marko, but this was written about it.

According to Marko, the plan that was initially pitched was to award double points for the last four races, which effectively would have rendered the 15 races before that fairly pointless

Marko hints at Merc voting yes. He could have been misunderstood, or it could be that Merc as the other team with most resources to develop right till the season end gain an advantage

Anyway as we have been told, we dont really know what goes on in meetings behind closed doors so its wrong to speculate 8-)

But where is it being reported?

All this and all I wanted was to go back to red and yellow T bars.

LRW I got that from the judge but more mainstream places are reporting it now.

And yeah I want the T-bars back.
