Lets remember though that its Hamilton who is suing Di Resta and so far we only heard the defence. If the worst that the defence have is that Hamilton lied to enhance his clients bargaining position in a potential deal that was a bit pie in the sky, and that some small company was gonna give Paul 21 mill for sponsorship and Hamilton was gonna scalp 1 mill out of it.

If thats the case for the defence, I am guessing Hamiltons counsel will soon provide the reason he was eager to take it to court.

But lets ignore that and be outraged by the conduct of Hamilton seniorsly a rank amateur at the sports management business. He needs to get lessons from Alex Fergusons son or some of the football boys, who are now only allowed a couple of months each year to operate within

So Paul has taken the witness stand..and admits to illegal 'entrapment'
He is also accused of telling a pack of lies and discussing 'bringing Hamilton down'

Chances are though we wont hear from all those jumping on Hamiltons back for the crime of lying to help his client get a deal. Strangely the press are not as vocal about the case anymore

If Paul loses the case, I hope he has money left to sue Button for (IMHO) maybe whispering in his ear about dumping Hamilton, changing over to his management and finding himself in the McLaren seat once Lewis had been eased out

He is gonna need some money for his plane ticket to the States

Maybe this is why PDR has no seat confirmed yet.

So have I got this right.

Go Fast (whoever they are) said they would sponsor Di Resta. Hamilton as his manager was dealing with it. Hamilton said that he had the rights to sell the "energy drinks" branding on the Force India in exchange for Go Fast sponsoring Di Resta.

Was hamilton skimming the 800k off the top of the deal or was that just his cut?

Di Resta caught wind that something was not right. So lets assume the 800k is being skimmed. So Di Resta sacked him from being his manager because of this.

However PDR was dodgy while trying to snoop to find out what was going on

Well there is little being reported and what we hear has been the salacious stuff.
My take on it so far is that Paul decided to cut Hamilton and go with Button. He has several reasons, main one been that Hamilton didnt produce a big deal he had high hopes for.
Is this just an excuse when he already decided to ditch him or not, thats the nub.
so this deal apparently was pie in the sky and Hamilton played along and went through the motions, arranging to buy Pauls rights from his team and sell then on as part of the deal. he tried to funnel some of the (expected) income through an offshore company ( that could have been his commission or he could just have been acting as a middleman) whats clear though is that Paul admits to NOT finding or having any proof at all that anything wrong happened, beyond the deal not coming off.

So Hamilton lied to the company that they had the rights ready to sell, obviously he wasnt gonna buy thenm upfront incase the deal didnt happen (standard middleman tactics, you sell something yu dont have yet and pay when the buyers money is in sight) and this is the crux of Pauls reason to get rid.

where Paul gets onto shaky ground is admitting he taped calls, and theres a text or something from a solicitor (Buttons company?) where the guy is basically telling Paul 'your agent is no good, got creamed in a deal meeting' and Paul says yeah 'Ill find a way to bring him down'

From my experience of vaguely similar situations and there is nothing at all unusual about any of this except maybe some amatuer night stuff from Hamilton. But its Paul who is accused of dumping his manager without good reason and illegally entrapment wont look good when you are saying you didnt get rid of a guy for no reason

But until the case is concluded we dont know jack really. But I think its typical how so many have jumped on Hamilton and this lying stuff when it was just him in the stand with Paul yet to be cross examined.

Have you got some proof of this? Are you willing to pay if our forum gets picked upon by a litigious Hamilton lawyer for letting you voice your shallow and uniformed claims?

Have you even read this thread before jumping in? I suggest you do and then maybe rephrase your post

Paul didnt wait for a verdict. And ofcourse there will be almost nothing reported in the press about this.

Which means all those cowards who jumped in to report Hamiltons terrible deeds and poked fun at the misconstrued snippets of evidence can just slink off and hope no one notices

And in a years time we will probably still have people posting on forums that AD is dodgy etc.

Luckily the hardcore Lewis fans will be there to set them right

I like Ant Hamilton & I admire him for all the work he put into getting Lewis into racing.
I'm not a fan of PDResta.....IMHO ...he seems a dour, whinging, second rate type,who dumped A.Hamilton, for JensonButton's management team...hoping to get the F1 seat... that eventually went to Sergio Perez....

There was a bit of 'good brit dad, bad brit dad' going on from certain quarters when poor John died. I even read somewhere saying John was the model F1 drivers father unlike others

I liked John Button....he seemed a good fun ..sort of guy......
Ant Hamilton seems to me to be a hard working...determined bloke....
I liked them both...And I think that both racers owe a lot to their GREAT Dads.....
