Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel says he is surprised to have claimed pole for the Brazilian Grand Prix by such a big margin ahead of Nico Rosberg.

Gee wizz Seb, what a surprise! and there we were thinking your car didnt have an advantage up to 2 seconds over the others, we thought it was your brilliance making the difference

I'm betting ""if"" there are any sort of illegalities on that same car,
he'd be fazed by having his season wiped clean of wins and records!!

Wouldn't happen anyway. Recent history dictates that RB would not be punished retro-actively. They would only risk losing points for the current race.

His final lap was going to be quicker until he aborted it.

Saving Tyres. Merc and Ferrari didn't. The 1st 2nd and 3rd positions is the constructors all over.

This may not be the most popular thing to say; but, it's only right, so here goes!!

Vettel had the opportunity "today" to set a new F1 record for most consecutive
wins in one reasonj (apparently Ascari set his over two seasons)!

Who can blame him? Embarrassed to admit, I'm not sure I would have it in me to do it!

I don't blame Vettel for today, only the Malaysia fiasco.

It's a shame that I had to go all the way to page 6 to revive this thread about the current 4-time world champion... But maybe his interview at the Autosport awards (the scene of his famous Raikkonen impression a couple of years ago) could make you like him a bit better? :wavey:

I always watch Vettel interviews with a proud smile on my face... Which I think is a bit of a problem, I need to stop being so attached to the guy:

dont worry, this is a 'manlove' friendly site. No one will judge you for your orientation.

I actually think Seb is a cool guy and a great driver, maybe not in the same way you do, but as a driver. If he can impress next season when things are more equal I would respect him even more

I've not bothered with the Autosport awards this year since I couldn't vote. I've been buying or subscribing yo Autosport over twenty years. I'm not at the moment. If i do re subscribe it will be with an iPad app, but as I am 'between' subscriptions I couldn't vote. So bit pissed off with Autosport.
Anyway it was a forgone conclusion who would win, and I think the fact that you had to troll back to page six to revive his thread, despite him being a four time world champ, says how the majority feel about him ( the forum here I'd say echoes the wider feeling of F1 fandom)

That you get pleasure from watching him is great. We all get pleasure in F 1 from different things and that's fine. He just doesn't float my boat.

I don't think so. I think it only echoes the wider feeling of British F1 fans. ;)

To be honest I don't really care who wins the championship. As long as it is a close battle... sadly that is where the whole field apart from Seb has let me down for the last few years

Americans know Seb as the technical director of performance for Infinity Automotive ltd. At least that's what the commercials say.
