You did know that Ferrari has a veto on certain aspects of the way F1 is run? And a special percentage off the top of all revenue? above and beyond the payments for placement in the WCC AND the payment for competing regularly?

You must know that the newly elected (unopposed) head of the FIA is the ex Ferrari TP

Maybe this latest revelation is more like a poison pill placed by Bernie to help him cling onto power in the the unlikely event he is relegated to a cell or retires, or is retired by whoever CVC sells to.

OH well maybe Montezemolo will replace Bernie :yikes::censored::yikes: surely Ferrari will have to win then

Luca just showing what he can achieve in negotiating deals like this for Ferrari. He needs to get more involved and get more deals like this for the Scuderia.

Let's read the "fine print":

wrote:">Ferrari has veto over Ecclestone successorIt reads: "We must obtain the written consent of Ferrari prior to the appointment of any person as our chief executive officer if, within the past five years, he or she has held a senior executive office or an ownership interest of five percent or more in any Team or automobile manufacturer which either owns more than a five percent interest in a Team or is a supplier of engines to a Team."

That doesn't mean Ferrari has "full" veto over who precedes Ecclestone!
It means that the "can" veto someone who is "currently" involved in the
running of an F1 team.

Which suggests, to me, that Ecclestone was trying to rub Red Bull's winning
ways in Ferrari's face by suggesting that Horner would be an ideal candidate!!

You make a good point there Sagi, Luca needs to go back and get Ferrari a full veto. Let the others cry themselves a river, SF needs to push every avenue to the max. Luca is good at that, but I think SD has not done anywhere near a god enough job in that regard.

You guys are just being facetious now

I'm being deadly serious. SF should push every advantage and rule they can. I take my hat off to Red Bull over the past 4 years they have proven the better team at this and well done by them I say. To the other, as I mentioned earlier - cry me a river.

Difference being Redbull do all their talking with their CAR on the track, typical Italian/Ferrari mentality is to use politics off the track. A very ugly way to win.
